Haley thought it was the wind blowing the door shut, but when she saw Ivan's dark face, she instantly understood what was happening.
She walked quickly to the door and pulled the doorknob. As expected, the door was locked from the outside.
"Dad, Mom, you guys sleep together tonight," he said.
Outside the door, Owen's mischievous laugh could be heard.
Haley tugged at the corner of her mouth and said, "Owen, be good and open the door."
"Oh my, I can't hear anything. My ears seem to have a problem. Come and help me clean my ears," Owen said as he ran away.

She was about to call Todd to come and open the door when Ivan suddenly grabbed her hand.

Haley narrowed her eyes and said, "Why do you want to share a room with me?"
Ivan covered his mouth with his fist and coughed uncomfortably.
He said, "You are the mother of my children. I will respect you. Don't worry. Even if we share a room, I won't do anything to you."
Haley pressed her crimson lips together.

"If you're really scared, I'll call Alfred to come and open the door," Ivan said as he took out his phone.
Haley lifted her head and said calmly, "You're right. Even if we successfully get out of this door this time, there will be a next time and a time after that. It's better to go along with the kids' wishes. Let's sleep for one night. It's not a big deal. You sleep on the bed, and I'll sleep on the couch."

Haley shrugged. "Fine, but don't blame me if your lower back hurts tomorrow morning."
She bent down to go to the bathroom, only to find that she didn't have any clean clothes to change into.
She pursed her crimson lips and glanced through the bathroom's frosted glass at Ivan lying on the sofa.
