Chapter 756
Haley turned around and saw the kids, along with Thomas, Karl, and Pitt, gathered around the computer, listening to their conversation.
Her face instantly turned red. "Stop saying that. I'm hanging up."
"I'll come to see you tonight." Ivan's voice was husky. "Haley, I miss you and want to see you."
Hearing these burning words of affection, Haley felt her face flush and her heart race.
Afraid that her heart might stop from the excitement, she hastily ended the call.
"Why did you hang up?"
"Mommy, Daddy wasn't finished talking. Why did you hang up?"
The kids started shouting in the living room.
Haley took a deep breath, rubbed her face, and walked into the living room, deliberately putting on a stern face. "From now on, no more eavesdropping on my phone calls."
Angela tilted her head, as if discovering a new world. "Mommy, your ears are so red."
"Is Mommy feeling shy?" Owen asked, blinking his big eyes.
Keith nodded. "Daddy said he misses Mommy. Mommy must be feeling shy."
Haley remained silent.
Todd asked obediently, "Will Daddy come over tonight?"
"Yes, Daddy will come to see Mommy." Angela covered her face, laughing excitedly. "Then I can see Daddy too."
Owen flashed a peace sign happily. "Finally, we can see Daddy again, I'm so happy."
Keith coughed. "Didn't you hear what Dad said? He misses Mom and is coming specifically to see her. We shouldn't be third wheels."
Angela asked curiously, "Keith, what does third wheel mean?"
"It means someone who gets in the way of Daddy and Mommy's romance," Keith explained.
"But we won't get in the way of Daddy and Mommy's romance," Angela said pitifully, blinking her eyes. "I'll just hide in the corner and take a peek at Daddy."
Tears welled up in Angela's eyes at the thought of not seeing her Daddy.
Haley quickly squatted down and comforted her, "Then tonight, let's wait for Daddy together, okay?"
Angela and Owen jumped up in excitement.
Haley also breathed a sigh of relief.
Last time, Ivan sneaked into the room late at night, and he had almost lost control and given in to his desires right then and there.
With the kids around tonight, Ivan probably wouldn't dare to act recklessly again.
However, as night fell, Ivan still hadn't shown up.
The kids, who had been eagerly waiting for Ivan, gradually got tired and fell asleep on the couch.
Haley felt quite helpless and bent down to carry the kids back to their rooms.
It was already past eleven at night, and except for Thomas, who was still playing games in his room, the entire villa was silent.
Haley returned to her room to wash up. As she pushed open the door, she noticed that the light in her room had somehow been turned off.
She frowned and felt along the wall for the switch.
