Chapter 931

Haley just tweaked the plan a bit and threw in some extra cash. What started as an A-level project suddenly turned into an S-level golden opportunity.

No wonder the Winston Group jumped on board. Bark led the applause, and everyone in the room followed suit.

"Bryan's really grown up," Bark said, beaming. He always thought Bryan was a bit of a lost cause.

But today, Bark realized Bryan had it in him all along; he handled things like a pro in his twenties.

Bark's joy didn't last long, though. He soon felt a pang of sadness. The Lumi Group was about to be Ava's.

Seeing Bark's downcast look, Ava's breath hitched. She was a Lumi too; she had to make Bark see her worth to be the heir.

"Can we announce the results now?" Hollis asked calmly.

Everyone had a score sheet in front of them. After both sides finished their pitches, the assistant collected the sheets.

Ten minutes later, the chairman's assistant walked up with the results.

"The scores are in. Ms. Deross scored eighty-five," the assistant paused, "Ms. Evans scored seventy-nine. Ms. Evans wins!"

"Congrats, Ms. Evans!"

"Hope Ms. Evans can take Lumi Group to new heights!"

"Ms. Evans is already so capable at such a young age; Lumi Group has a bright future!"

Hollis's old crew quickly started congratulating Ava, all smiles.

"It's okay, Haley," Cauth said casually. "You and Bryan are talented. You can start fresh, and I'll back your new venture."

Haley smiled, looking at the buzzing crowd. She said calmly, "It's not over yet. Why are you all in such a rush to celebrate?"

Her voice wasn't loud, but it had a sharp edge that instantly hushed the room.

Ava suddenly laughed, her face full of pride, the kind of smile a winner wore.

Ava placed her hands on the table and said leisurely, "Haley, if you've got something to say, just say it."

This was Haley's last shot to speak at a high-level Lumi Group meeting; Ava figured it wouldn't hurt to listen.

Haley leaned back in her chair and pushed the document in front of her forward. "Bryan, read this out loud to everyone."

Ava's eyes narrowed. "What's this?"

For some reason, a bad feeling crept over her.

Haley tapped her fingers on the table calmly. "You'll know once you hear it."

Bryan picked up the document, looking puzzled. As soon as he read it, his face was filled with disbelief. He turned to Haley. "Haley, is this for real?"

Haley replied, "Would I bring it here without proof? Go ahead and read it."

Bryan nodded and started reading from the top.
