Chapter 683
Haley turned around, opened the door and walked in.
The dim light fell on her back, making her figure appear even more slender and delicate.
Martin remembered the first day he met Haley; back then, he just wanted to use her.
He never expected that he and Haley would come this far.
Compared to their first meeting, Haley seemed to have lost a lot of weight, her waist so thin.
It wasn't until Haley's figure disappeared at the entrance that Martin slowly withdrew his gaze.
Haley gently closed the door, leaning against it and letting out a long sigh.
She was really afraid that Martin would call her back and ask a bunch of questions. She feared exposing herself and losing control of her emotions.
"Mommy, what's wrong?"
In front of her, four pairs of adorable eyes looked at her with concern.
Haley's heart softened, and she squatted down, saying, "Keith, Owen, Todd, and Angela, go upstairs now and pack your suitcases. We'll leave for the airport in an hour."
"Mommy, why are we going to the airport?"
"Mommy, we just moved in yesterday. Where are we going now?"
"Mommy, do we have to leave at night? Can't we go tomorrow?"
"Mommy, what exactly is going on?"
The children's questions came one after another, but Haley had no way to give them clear answers.
"Enough, why do you have so many questions at such a young age? Hurry up and pack your things!" Thomas shooed the kids upstairs, then turned to Haley with a serious look and said, "Haley, I'm not a five-year-old kid. I'm not that easy to fool. Tell me the truth, what exactly is going on?"
"I can't explain it all at once," Haley said, suppressing her anger. "Do you have a helicopter? We'd better leave by helicopter."
She couldn't let Martin know her whereabouts!
Seeing Haley's expression, Thomas knew something went off.
He took out his phone and said, "I'll contact the pilot. You go pack your bags. If you don't want anyone to know your whereabouts, you'd better throw away your SIM card."
Haley nodded, her face complex as she said, "Thank you."
"Don't say thank you to me. If you really want to thank me, let me be the kids' godfather. I've been waiting for this for a long time." Thomas happily threw out this sentence and walked to the balcony to make a call.
Haley pursed his lips, turning around, and went upstairs to pack the important things.
The Winston Mansion, Martin's car drove in unimpeded. As soon as he got out of the car, Brenda called out to him.
"Where are the kids and Haley? Weren't you supposed to bring them back?"
Martin tossed the car keys in his hand and caught them again, saying nonchalantly, "What's the rush? We'll talk about it tomorrow."
Brenda gritted her teeth. "Martin, do you know how much impact this news has had on the Winston Group? On the surface, the Winston Group's stock price hasn't fluctuated, but many people online are already calling for a boycott of the Winston Group's products. If you keep being so reckless, the Winston Group will be ruined in your hands sooner or later."
"Don't worry, this won't happen again," Martin said calmly. "I'll bring them back tomorrow."
Brenda was stunned for a moment.
Normally, no matter what she said, Martin would argue with her. She wondered why he was so mild today.
Brenda hesitated and then asked, "Can you really cut off your relationship with Katherine?"
