Chapter 736
Owen and Angela slipped into Hinterlands without a hitch.
"There are so many guards here, but it doesn't seem too dangerous," Owen whispered, scanning the area. "Angela, I checked the map. Dad's place is just ahead. Let's go."
Angela's eyes lit up with excitement as she followed Owen, sprinting toward the core villa area.
A military vehicle was parked at the villa entrance, with Isabel inside, looking furious.
During August's rule, she could come and go as she pleased. Now, she was stuck outside.
She was the daughter of one of the top leaders of the Black Gang, yet she couldn't even enter the headquarters. It felt like a joke.
With a cold expression, Isabel ordered, "Go home."
One day, she'd make Leonardo kneel and beg her!
As the car turned around, Isabel spotted Angela and Owen running from the corner.
"Stop," Isabel commanded coldly, eyes locked on the two kids.
She'd seen two boys in the villa before who looked a lot like Leonardo. Now, seeing a boy and a girl, she thought, 'Is it just because they're foreigners that they look similar?'
Owen held Angela's hand and smiled sweetly at the guard at the villa entrance. "Sir, we want to see Mr. Windsor. Can you let him know we're here?"
The sight of the two cute kids softened the guards, who were used to dealing with war.
The guard bent down and asked gently, "Do you know who Mr. Windsor is?"
"Yes, he's a great hero and the leader here," Angela said innocently, tilting her head. "We really like him and want to meet him. Can we?"
Angela's sweet voice was impossible to refuse.
"Alright, wait here. I'll go inform him."
The guard went into the villa to report.
This scene fueled Isabel's anger.
She had just asked these guards to inform Leonardo, but they had coldly refused and told her to leave.
To these guards, she was less important than two random kids.
She couldn't do anything to Leonardo, but she could handle two kids.
Isabel pushed open the car door, her high heels clacking on the concrete.
Hearing the sound, Owen quickly turned around. He sensed Isabel's hostility and immediately shielded Angela behind him.
"These brats have bombs on them. Arrest them!" Isabel ordered coldly, fiddling with her bright red nails.
The two guards she brought got out of the car, their faces cold as they approached Owen and Angela.
"We don't have any bombs!" Owen shouted. "We have nothing on us. Don't arrest us. You can't arrest us."
He kept retreating with Angela, who looked terrified.
The guards outside the villa stayed put. Their job was to protect the villa from intrusions. What happened outside wasn't their concern.
Though they felt sorry for the kids, they didn't want to cross Isabel.
