Chapter 1040
Camilla walked over.
The four children knew there was no point in hiding anymore and obediently came out with their heads down.
The boys were wearing gray casual clothes and baseball caps that covered most of their faces.
Angela was wearing overalls, and beneath her bangs were a pair of bright, clear eyes.
"What are you doing here?" Camilla asked them, looking down.
These boys were almost as tall as she was, which was impressive for nine-year-olds. Angela was a bit shorter, but only by a head.
The four children lined up in front of her, drawing a lot of attention.
"We..." Keith didn't want to lie but couldn't find a reasonable excuse, hesitating for a long time.
Camilla had to get straight to the point. "Is it you who made this office building suddenly go on a 50% sale?"
"Miss Jenkins, we just wanted to give you something," Owen said pitifully, blinking his big eyes.
Todd pursed his lips and said, "The Winston family isn't short on money."
He had investigated that the Jenkins Group's entire company was worth less than a billion dollars, and buying a forty-million-dollar office floor should be a bit difficult.
They just wanted to help Camilla lighten her burden a little.
"The money shouldn't be spent so recklessly," Camilla said helplessly. "I can afford this office floor. I appreciate your kindness."
Angela twisted her fingers. "But we really like you, Miss Jenkins. Won't you accept it?"
Her eyes were like a lake, moist and heart-wrenching.
Camilla's heart softened immediately. "You can give me other things, but definitely not a house." She paused and asked, "Do you all really like me?"
Owen nodded repeatedly. "I really like Miss Jenkins!"
Angela blinked her big eyes. "We really like you."
Todd pursed his lips. "It's not just like; it's love."
"We all really like Miss Jenkins," Keith summarized. "We liked you from the first moment we met."
The children's words were like honey, making Camilla feel much better.
She continued to ask, "Why do you like me?"
"Because..."
Todd looked at her and decided to be straightforward. "Because we want you to be our mommy."
"What?" Camilla thought she had misheard. "Don't you already have a mommy? Why?"
"We like you and want you to be our mommy!" Owen grabbed her arm and shook it. "Will you marry our daddy?"
Camilla was dumbfounded. They had a mommy who had been missing for four years and apparently hadn't divorced Ivan yet.
What were these kids thinking?
Just as Camilla was about to ask more questions, a commotion suddenly erupted at the entrance of the sales office.
She turned to look, noticing two rows of bodyguards parting the crowd to form a passage, and a man in a black suit walked in.
As soon as he appeared, everything else faded into the background.
"Daddy's here!"
"Daddy came to find Miss Jenkins."
"Miss Jenkins, you go on a date with Daddy. We'll leave now."
The four children held hands and quickly ran out through the side door.
Camilla had never seen children so eager to set up their Daddy with another woman.
