Chapter 133 No Waiting for your doom
Emily's eyes grew dark, and her fingers slowly clenched.
Expelling her from the boardroom wasn't enough; this wretched Haley even targeted her friends!
"Emily, everyone in the company is talking now... They say that from now on, the DeRoss Group will be under Haley's control, and some even say that she's more suitable to be the successor than you..." Flora clearly heard the voice from the hallway. She slapped the table with a cold expression and said, "Emily, we can't just sit back and wait for our doom!"
Emily clenched her lips and said, "Mom, do you think I don't want someone to get rid of that wretched girl? But Keith has people watching our every move as the DeRoss family. No matter what we do, Keith will know. I don't want to ruin the image he has of me."
Flora pondered with a serious expression, "The fact that this wretched girl hasn't discovered that the two little bastards are still alive after staying in Cuenca for so long means that she hasn't even considered the possibility of her dead sons turning into Owen and Keith Winston. So this matter shouldn't be exposed in the short term.”
Flora continued, “The main problem and our priority is still the control over the DeRoss Group. If we let Haley secure the position of the client department manager, it's only a matter of time before she takes over as the CEO."
Emily nodded, "Dad is on my side, but Haley is too cunning. She gained approval from the shareholders without raising any suspicion. Dad doesn't have much power to do anything about it."
"In that case, let's talk to Grandma!" Flora sneered, "Let's have Grandma have a conversation with Haley and make sure she doesn't act recklessly! We've placed people within the DeRoss Group, and we can't let Haley remove them."

Emily and Flora went downstairs to Grandma's room.
Madam DeRoss was not in good health and spent most of her day in bed. The weather was nice today, so she sat on the balcony, enjoying the sun.
"Grandma..."
Emily choked up as tears streamed down her face when Madam DeRoss turned around.
"Emily, what happened?" Madam DeRoss stood up, and the maid, Nancy, quickly came forward to support her. "Take it slow, Madam."
"Grandma, I didn't want to bother you with such a small matter, but my sister has gone too far!"
Emily wiped her tears, deliberately rubbing her eyes until they turned red.
Nancy's mouth twitched.
Grandma's health was already poor, and she deliberately kept the big incident within the DeRoss family board from her. But now here comes Emily, running to Grandma to complain.
Grandma was already advanced in age. Would Emily feel guilty knowing that she might end up in the hospital because of this?

Nancy deliberately interjected, "Madam, it's time for your medicine. How about you take it first?"
Taking the medicine would give Grandma an excuse to take a nap and conveniently avoid the situation.
"Grandma, I won't bother you anymore. Please focus on taking care of your health." Emily bit her lip and said, "It's my karma. I made so many mistakes in the past, and now my sister is targeting me because of it..."
Nancy remained silent, watching the scene unfold.
