Chapter 117 Wanting a New Mommy
Owen clenched his hands tightly under the covers. He was extremely nervous, his eyes fixed on Haley, afraid to see her shake her head.
Haley pondered for a few seconds.
To be honest, she still couldn't understand why Angela called Ivan 'Daddy.' and why did Angela sneak all the way to the Winston Group from preschool last time?
Did Ivan give Angela some kind of potion?
Thankfully, Angela could already speak, and she believed that soon enough, Angela would tell her the answer herself.
Coming back to her senses, Haley met Owen's gaze and softly said, "Angela doesn't understand what 'dad' means, so she called him the wrong name. But you should know what 'mommy' means. I'm not..."
"Your mommy,” Owen finished for her.
“Besides, don't you already have a mommy?" Haley asked quietly.
Owen's eyes suddenly turned red.
He bit his lower lip and replied stubbornly, "Even if I do, so what? I don't like her anyway. That selfish woman doesn't deserve to be my mommy!"
Haley's heart suddenly ached.
She didn't know what she was feeling.
She gently touched Owen's face and softly said, "There's no mother who doesn't love her own child. If your mom hears what you just said, she would be very hurt."
"She wouldn't be hurt, she doesn't love me at all!" Owen's lips had a white mark from biting them. "Every day, she only thinks about how to marry Dad, about how to become Mrs. Winston! She never cared about me, she never treated me as her son!"
Owen's grievances grew stronger and stronger, and he threw himself into Haley's embrace, crying softly.
Haley sighed and gently patted his back.
She hadn't looked into the Winston family's affairs, but from what this child said, she could guess a little.
The outside world didn't know about the Winston family having a child, and Ivan had never mentioned anything about getting married. In other words, Owen should be an illegitimate child.

Haley pursed her lips and didn't say anything more.
In the living room downstairs, only Ivan and Todd were left.
Todd held a book in his hands, carefully flipping through it.
When he read, he habitually blocked out the surrounding environment, so he didn't notice that Ivan had been standing behind him for several minutes.
Suddenly, a slender hand with distinct joints reached over and took the book from his hands.
"Introduction to Logic?" Ivan glanced at the cover, his lips curling with interest. "Can you understand it?"
Todd stood up.
He was shorter than Ivan.
Although he was short, his aura was strong enough.
He said lightly, "What's it to you?"
He tiptoed, trying to snatch his book back.
Ivan slightly raised his arm, and Todd couldn't reach it at all.
He withdrew his hand, lips pursed coldly, "Give it back to me."
"Answer a few questions for me first," Ivan opened the book and casually said, "What are the logical fallacies?"
Todd had a cold expression on his face.
He really didn't want to answer this man's questions.
But he knew that if he didn't answer, he wouldn't get his book back tonight.
He had just come across an interesting logic problem in the book and couldn't wait to see the analysis results.
