Chapter 815
The first thing Cauth back home did was look for Bark.
"Dad, I remember you know that very famous plastic surgeon abroad. Can you introduce us?"
Hearing Cauth's words, Bark's face immediately darkened, "Cauth, do you take everything I say as a joke?"
Cauth pursed his lips, "Dad, Haley is my daughter. I should make up for her twenty-three years of fatherly love. Now that she finally acknowledges me as her father, I can't just ignore her."
"She's just your illegitimate daughter. Her return will only becomes a stain on the Lumi family's reputation!" Bark growled, "It wouldn't be a problem if she were still Mrs. Winston. But recently, her divorce with Ivan has been making headlines. Who knows when it will be finalized? Bringing her back does no good for the Lumi family."
"I just want to make it up to Haley, unrelated to interests! Even if she were the homeless, I would still bring her back." Cauth clenched his fist, "Whether you support it or not, the banquet in three days will go on as planned."
"Uncle Cauth, Grandpa is actually doing this for your own good," Ava said, pretending to be obedient, "Uncle Cauth, think about it. Why didn't Haley rush to return to the Lumi family before? Because she had just married Ivan and looked down on us. Now that she's about to break ties with the Winston family, yearning for a new shelter, so she's willing to acknowledge you as her father. Don't be fooled by Haley."
Cauth looked at Ava with great disappointment.
He had no daughter previously, so he devoted all his efforts to loving his niece, Ava.
He would buy anything good for Ava.

"Haley is my daughter. Whether you accept her or not has nothing to do with me," Cauth said word by word, turning to leave.
He arrived to inquire about the plastic surgeon, yet his anger was so great that his breathing became labored.
Watching Cauth's leave, Ava finally said, "Grandpa, are you really not going to the banquet?"
Bark said coldly, "If I don't go, won't it make everyone in Watertown mock at the Lumi family for having internal conflicts?"
Haley's return wasn't a big issue with a few members of the Lumi family. What bothered him was Cauth's stubbornness.
If Cauth had put this much effort into Bryan, Bryan wouldn't have lost his chance to compete for the heir position.
Ava's smile became strained.
The hatred between her and Haley had long been established. If Haley moved into the Lumi family, she wouldn't want to come back every day.
She really didn't want to see Haley flaunting in front of her.
"Grandpa, Haley has four kids. Are we going to let all four of them live with us?" Ava asked softly.
Bark squinted his eyes, "Those four kids are the Winston family's descendants. If we build a good relationship with them, we might be able to maintain our ties with the Winston family."
Ava's heart sank upon hearing this, despite Haley's separation from Ivan and her disfigurement, as she had given birth to four children.
Just with those four kids, Haley wouldn't have to worry about the rest of her life.
Ava clenched her fingers tightly.
"Ava, when Haley returns to the Lumi family, you should give her instruction to prevent her from embarrassing us," Bark said coldly, "No one has properly educated her in the past twenty years. She doesn't know the etiquette of wealthy families."
Ava forced a smile, "Okay, Grandpa."
As soon as she left Bark's study, Ava's smile disappeared.
