Cauth let out a low sigh.

Haley's gaze fell on the jade necklace.
A picture flashed in her mind, the only picture of her mother when she was young.
When her mother was young, she was a famous beauty in Watertown, the photo carried a soft light of the era, making her mother look even more stunning, especially the jade necklace on her mother's neck, which was captivating.
Exactly like the necklace in Cauth's hand.
Various emotions surged in Haley's heart, but she remained calm on the surface.
She lightly said, "This necklace seems to have some history."
"It's been over twenty years," Cauth's eyes showed nostalgia, "Twenty years have passed in a blink of an eye. Miss Deross, try this necklace, it really suits you."
Haley glanced at it. This was the necklace her mother had worn, and she was really tempted.
Seeing no objection from her, Cauth quickly stepped forward, stood behind her, and said in a low voice, "Let me help you put it on."
Just as his hand brushed Haley's hair behind her neck, a sharp gaze suddenly swept over.
"What are you doing?" Ivan walked over coldly and pulled Haley into his arms.
His eagle-like eyes fell on Cauth, sneering, "Mr. Lumi, what are you trying to do?"
While Cauth still held the necklace, the person in front of him had already been pulled away.
He suddenly didn’t know how to explain this time.
"Mr. Lumi wanted to give me a gift," Haley spoke calmly, "he meant no harm."
A sharp light flashed in Ivan's eyes. "No harm? Do you mean giving another man's wife a necklace?”
Haley thought, ‘How could I forget. He is a very jealous person.’
He even felt jealous of his own son, let alone Cauth, a stranger.
"Ivan." After calming down a bit, Cauth spoke steadily, "This necklace is just a gift. Could you please help Miss Deross put it on?"
He handed the necklace back in the box.
Ivan's voice was cold. "It’s such a valuable gift, please take it back, my wife and I appreciate your kindness."
Cauth sighed inwardly.
If only his actions were a bit faster.
Oh well, he'd need to find another opportunity in the future.
He put the box back in his pocket. "I'm sorry for being abrupt."
Haley watched as the necklace her mother had worn was taken back.
She didn't want the necklace, she just didn't want to miss anything that belonged to her mother.
