Chapter 96 Falsify Accounts

Mr. Smith also spoke up. "Haley holds a significant number of company shares and has secured such a large project. I have no objections to her becoming the Client Department manager."

"I have no objections either."

Most of the people in the conference room agreed. There was no possibility of turning back at this point. Despite Mr. DeRoss' dissatisfaction with Haley's lofty demeanor, she had at least helped turn the company's situation around.

With the Roscente Group project in hand, the company didn't need to worry about revenue for the next six months.

He casually made the decision. "Alright, let Haley be the Client Department manager, and the current manager will become your assistant."

"Thank you, Dad." Haley smiled obediently and took her seat.

Watching this scene, Emily was so angry. She had endured and endured, but her anger still surged within her chest. Finally, she could no longer hold back and spoke forcefully.

"Dad, the current Client Department manager is a doctor who returned from studying overseas. He has been with the company for seven, eight years. Is it too hasty to make him my sister's assistant?"

"Emily's words make sense," Haley nodded earnestly. "Eva Nelson, with a PhD from studying overseas and an MBA degree, it truly is unfair to make her a Client Department manager. I think the position of general manager suits her better."

Emily's eyes widened. She was the general manager of the DeRoss Group! What was this despicable Haley trying to do again?

"Emily, you graduated from Ivy League University and studied design. You have no experience in managing a company. I think you should step down," Haley smirked. "You've been in the general manager position for four years and have made no contribution to the company.”

“Oh, these were not my words, it's what Mr. Taylor just said. If you lack the ability, then the position should be given to someone more suitable, don't you agree?"

"Nonsense!" Mr. DeRoss slammed the table. "You've just entered the board of directors, and now you want to interfere with the company's personnel arrangements?"

Haley pursed her lips. "Dad, I'm doing this for the company's development."

"Don't use that as an excuse to deal with your sister!" Mr. DeRoss coldly said. "Don't think that by just signing a contract with the Roscente Group, you can override everything in the company."

“Since my father insists on saying so, I have no choice but to reveal the internal matters of our DeRoss family.” Haley looked hesitant as she took out a document from her bag and threw it on the table.

"Mr. Taylor, Mr. Smith, you should be familiar with financial statements. This is the DeRoss Group's annual financial report from last year. Once you take a careful look, you'll understand why I am pressuring Emily to step down as the CEO."

Mr. Taylor and Mr. Smith opened the ledger with a perplexed expression. In less than three minutes, their faces changed dramatically, as if their glares were piercing directly into Emily's forehead.

Emily's heart skipped a beat, and she felt that this ledger had a lot to do with her, she wanted to snatch the ledger back, but Mr. Taylor simply threw it to the next shareholder. In less than ten minutes, the ledger made its way through the hands of all the shareholders.

Mr. Taylor stood up first, "Emily, we trusted you so much, and this is how you manipulate our trust?"

Emily's lips turned pale, "Mr. Taylor, I didn't do anything... Haley must be framing me..." she spluttered.

"The ledger clearly states everything, how can she frame you?" Mr. Smith's face was full of disappointment.

"Under the pretext of project expenses, at least a hundred million dollars were transferred from the finance department. We trusted you and signed off on the project, and now you misappropriated funds, falsified accounts. What qualifications do you have to sit in the CEO's position?"
