Chapter 20 The voiceless beauty: Angela

Haley patted his head, "Let's go, I'll go find Angela with you."
She had already shone at the banquet, there was no need to continue dealing with those scheming people, it was better to spend more time with the children.
The two held hands and went to the lounge upstairs.
Madam Martínez was old and did not like attending parties. She had not been present at the entire evening, and had been taking care of Angela in the lounge.
May and Barbara didn't want to see Haley showing off, so they also stayed in the lounge to accompany Madam Martínez.
Angela sat on the balcony reading a book, her fair skin captivating like milk.
Her long feathery lashes were like a dense little fan, casting a faint shadow on her porcelain-like skin.
Sitting there, she was like a shining child star in a movie. When she grew up, she would definitely be a stunning beauty.
May Martínez' eyes turned green from jealousy, she sighed and said, "Angela is so beautiful. She will be even more outstanding than Haley, it's just a pity...this child can't speak and her origins are unclear..."
Before she could finish her words, even more offensive words were already at the tip of May's tongue, but she felt a cold gaze.
Madam Martínez said coldly, "Angela can speak, she just doesn't want to."
May pouted, is there a difference between not wanting to speak and not being able to speak? She's just a mute anyway.
Barbara mediated, "In my maternal family, there is a child who is just like Angela, both of them have autism. I heard from the doctor that this illness is particularly difficult to cure. However, if there are parents accompanying them, they will recover faster. Madam, who exactly is Angela's father? Why won't Haley reveal any information?"
This was a roundabout way of inquiring about Angela's father.
Madam Martínez was furious. Before she could tell the two people to get out, Angela suddenly threw down her book and ran out of the lounge.
"Hurry up and follow her. If anything happens to Angela, you two will be sent back to your family!"
May and Susan knew that Madam Martínez cared a lot about the child of Haley, the brat. The two quickly sent people to chase after her.
Angela rushed straight down from the second floor.
The foyer was crowded and she was a little scared.
She took a turn and ran to the backyard of the Martínez family. Jerry was playing with a group of children in the backyard and saw Angela rushing out like headless flies.
He rushed to get in the way of Angela.
The little mute bullied him twice and his mother. This time, he must make the little mute look good.
Jerry is the king of children. As soon as he comes, a large group of children follow him.
"Wow, this is the first time I've seen such a good-looking mute."
"This little mute is so beautiful, even prettier than my sister!"
Jerry was so angry when he heard his friends say that Angela was good-looking. He grabbed a handful of mud from the flower bed and threw it directly into Angela's face.
Angela stared at a pair of beautiful eyes, opened his mouth and bit into Jerry's arm.
"The little mute is going to bite again. Hold her down!"
Jerry gave an order, and four or five six or seven-year-old boys came forward and pressed Angela's shoulder.
Angela struggled desperately, and she suddenly burst into amazing strength, and the two boys could not hold it down.
Jerry gritted his teeth angrily, walked over and gave him a hard push.
Angela planted directly into the flower bed, the sharp branches across her delicate skin, and there were several bloodstains on her arm.
"Little mute!
“Hey, ugly! See if you dare to bully my mother! "
Jerry grabbed the mud from the ground and threw it at Angela. The other children thought it was fun and threw mud along with him.
The little girl's pretty face, seaweed hair and snow-white gauze dress were all covered with yellow mud.
This is the Martínez family's backyard. Usually no one comes at all.
However, there is someone who does not go the usual way.
Owen climbed over the Martínez family's fence and snuck in.
He made it clear that the woman was going to a party at the Martínez family tonight, so he came desperate to spend time with her.
Owen listened to the sound of children playing and teasing, laughing at Angela and calling her names.
He watched as several kids pulled her out of the flower bed. Unexpectedly, Angela retaliated by biting one of the boys on his hand, causing his hand to bleed profusely.
In a fit of anger, Jerry commanded the others to attack Angela, wanting to please his mother who despised Angela.
With this in mind, Jerry grabbed a large stone and hurled it towards Angela. Owen quickly intervened before the stone could hit Angela.
His head collided with Angela's beautiful, emotionless eyes.
His heart suddenly skipped a beat and he shouted, "Stop them!"
From the shadows behind him, a bodyguard leaped forward and intercepted the large stone in Jerry's hand.
Owen quickly ran over, pulled Angela towards him, and stood in front of her.
He stared at the person in front of him, and said with emphasis, "Deal with these people the same way they treated this girl, but ten times worse."
"Yes, Master Owen!"
The bodyguard clenched his fist and immediately attacked Jerry.
"Boom!"
Jerry was thrown directly into the flower bed.
Terrified, he wet his pants and started crying, "Mom, come save me, someone wants to kill me!"
The bodyguard immediately grabbed a handful of mud and stuffed it into his mouth. The other children were also thrown into the flower bed.
The flower bed was filled with stones and sharp branches, and the group of children cried out in pain.
Owen finally felt satisfied.
He looked at the dirty little girl and softly asked, "Are you hurt anywhere?"
Angela looked at him warily, pursed her pink lips, and remained silent.
Owen reached out to hold her hand, saying, "You're very dirty, let me find a place for you to clean up."
However...
Angela pulled her hand back with a guarded expression on her face.
Owen suddenly felt a little hurt.
He had saved her, shouldn't she at least say thank you?
Why wasn't she saying a word?
That's right, those bastards just called her a mute. Such a beautiful girl, could it be that she can't speak?
Owen felt saddened and whispered, "I won't hurt you, can I take you to wash up?"
He tried to take the little girl's hand.
But Angela didn't even give him a glance, she turned around and walked away.
However, she didn't manage to walk away smoothly.
The loud crying had already alerted everyone in the banquet hall.
Many noble women had brought their children to the banquet, and upon hearing the crying, they quickly followed the sound.
Leading the way was May, who had followed Angela outside but lost track of her.
As soon as she heard the children crying, she had a bad feeling.
She walked over and saw seven or eight children lying in the flower bed, crying miserably.
May immediately saw her own grandson and rushed over to pick him up, asking, "Jerry, what happened? Who bullied you?"
