Ivan's voice got all soft. "Haley, chill out. Now that we know it's Martin, we can handle this. Just hang tight and wait."
After he said that, he called up Jared. In less than half an hour, Jared hit him back, "Boss, I found it. It's an earring, and it's a data transmitter."
"Send it ASAP," Ivan said, ice-cold.
But even the fastest way would take at least two days. So, for the next two days, Haley just stayed in the villa, not going anywhere. Ivan was there with her, keeping her company.
She was lounging on the sofa with a book, the TV buzzing in the background, while Ivan was in the kitchen, trying to cook.
Watching Ivan fumble around in the kitchen, Haley couldn't help but smile a bit.
Ivan, who had never set foot in the kitchen before, was slowly learning to cook for her. The food wasn't great, but she loved it anyway.

Ivan had taken over all the stuff at Star Technical Company, leaving Haley with nothing to do. She started thinking hard about the resort project.
Just then, her phone buzzed. It was a call from Cauth, probably about this whole thing.
Without thinking, Haley picked up, only to hear Bark's voice on the other end, "Come back."
Haley was surprised, "Where to?"
"The Lumi Family," Bark said calmly, "Be back within half an hour."
Then, Cauth took the phone, "Haley, don't rush. Drive safe. It's cool if you're an hour late."
Haley felt like something was up. She replied calmly, "Alright, I'll head over right away."
She closed the documents and went upstairs to change. When she came back down after changing and putting on some light makeup, Ivan had already set the food on the table.
"Haley, where you headed?"
Haley smiled a bit, "My dad called me over. Probably about the heir thing. I'll go after eating."
She sat down, took a bite, and her eyes lit up, "Ivan, this is only the third time you've cooked here. It tastes awesome."
Ivan served her a bowl of soup. "Take your time."
Haley finished the soup in one go. Sometimes she had to admit, Ivan had a knack for everything he did. Even cooking, he picked up faster than anyone else.
She used to think their kids' smarts came from her, but today she realized Ivan's talents were way beyond hers in every way.
