Chapter 118 The Logical Son
He sighed,"Formal logic fallacies and informal logic fallacies."
Ivan looked surprised.
He had thought the child was just pretending to read books, but he didn't expect him to actually understand them.
Books on logic were dry and boring, even less exciting than math. Being able to read and comprehend this book was not something an ordinary person could do.
What's more, this child was only four years old.
Ivan closed the book and said softly,"I have another question about logic for you."
Todd's patience ran out,"I don't want this book anymore."
"If you want to study logic, you can't afford to lack patience," Ivan coldly smirked,"The question I want to ask is related to your mommy."
As soon as his mommy was mentioned, Todd lost his composure.
He pursed his lips and said slowly, word by word,"You'd better stay away from my mommy, or else—"
"The question I want to ask is this," Ivan interrupted him,"If today you say to me,'Stay away from my mommy or I'll kill you,' and at least three people overhear these words. Then, the next day, I end up dead. How would you explain this from a logical standpoint?"
Todd had been studying logic for the past half month. He had a great interest in it.
This question touched on several theories of logic, and it also mentioned his mommy. He had the desire to answer.
He pressed his lips together and said softly,"This falls under the fallacy of post hoc ergo propter hoc in logic. It's because people see the result, so they confirm a certain cause. Ordinary people only associate with a single cause and effect relationship. If this were the case, they would think it was me who killed you. This is the most common logical error that ordinary people make..."
He spoke confidently, surrounded by an aura.
For some reason, Ivan saw Keith's figure in him.
Keith had been interested in logic for a while, but he eventually put the course aside because he was busy with the company's affairs.
"Well, are you satisfied with my answer?"
After Todd finished speaking, he raised his eyebrows lightly, brimming with confidence and radiant spirit.
Ivan smirked again.
In front of Haley, he was a well-behaved and considerate child who took care of his little sister.
But now that Haley wasn't around, he completely revealed another side.
Bold and unruly, with a hint of rebellion in his eyes.
This child was not as simple as he seemed on the surface.
Children with high intelligence were reassuring for adults, but they could also cause earth-shattering events behind their backs.
Keith had his own restraints and could moderate himself to some extent.
But this child—
Did Haley know that her son had such astonishing intelligence?
Ivan tossed the book back to Todd,"You're quite good, keep reading."
Todd took the book and went upstairs, locking his own room door after entering.
Ivan sat on the sofa and suddenly felt embarrassed.
Haley and her two children were all on the second floor, and Owen, his own child, had also gone upstairs.
What does it mean that he downstairs alone?
He took out his phone and scrolled through it. The news that used to captivate his attention couldn't grasp him at all. He decided to get up and took a walk around the house.
There was a family photo hanging behind the sofa in the living room.
It was a group photo of Haley and her two children, with a warm yellow background that looked very heartwarming.
He glanced at other places and saw two more family photos in the dining room, as well as individual photos of the two children.
However, there was no sign of any man.
This house didn't seem like a place where a man had ever lived...
