Chapter 1035
As soon as Camilla finished speaking, her cheeks suddenly turned bright red.
It seemed that she had already accepted his offer to massage her.
"No need, it'll be fine in a bit."
Before Camilla could finish, Ivan forcefully yet gently took out her other leg.
He gently massaged her calf with a warm palm, and the cramping sensation gradually disappeared.
"Do you cramp often?" Ivan asked softly.
Camilla pulled her leg back and hid it under the blanket, pretending to be calm as she said, "I've had cramps on and off these past few years, but it's nothing serious."
Ivan's voice was a bit deep. "Why do you have this problem?"
The people he sent to investigate could only find information about Camilla from the past three years, with one year completely missing. And she seemed to only remember events from these three years.
"Aftereffects of surgery," Camilla said lightly. "Mr. Winston, could you please step out for a moment? I want to get dressed."
Ivan's gaze was deep and intense. How come he hadn't found any records of her having surgery three years ago?
All the hospitals in Brussville had no records of her having surgery.
Either she remembered wrong, or the surgery records had been deliberately erased. Why erase surgery records?
Ivan's eyes were deep, like the ocean.
"Mr. Winston?" Camilla called softly.
Ivan snapped back to reality and said calmly, "I'll go to the bathroom to get your clothes."
He brought the clothes over, placed them by the bed, and said, "After you get dressed, I'll take you to the hospital for a check-up."
Camilla looked up at him. "It's an old ailment."
"Let's get it checked, otherwise I won't be at ease." Ivan's voice was gentle, filled with warmth and affection.
Camilla was stunned for a moment. It wasn't until Ivan turned and left the room that she came back to her senses.
Camilla could feel that Ivan's concern for her didn't seem fake.
Could Ivan really fall in love with her so quickly? How could she think that Ivan loved her? She must be crazy.
Camilla quickly put on her clothes, which fit her perfectly, as if they were tailored for her.
She put on her shoes and walked out of the room.
From this angle, Camilla could see a corner of the dining room. Ivan was sitting at the table with four children with the butler attending to them.
It was a very warm family scene. Camilla actually felt an urge to join them. She pressed her lips together and slowly walked down the stairs.
"Miss Jenkins, you look beautiful in that dress." Owen's words were as sweet as honey, constantly pouring out compliments. "This pink dress makes Miss Jenkins' skin look especially delicate, even more beautiful than the actresses on TV. You can take all the dresses with you, Miss Jenkins!"
Camilla found it hard to handle Owen's enthusiasm and awkwardly smiled. "No need, this one is just fine."
