Chapter 1059

Celeste walked in.

Celeste was carrying a breakfast box and was slightly surprised to see a room full of people.

"Celeste, you're here."

Camilla sat up and greeted her with a smile.

Celeste hesitated to enter; the room was filled with people, with the tallest, Ivan, exuding a cold aura, and the children all looking quite unapproachable.

She touched her nose and said, "I made some chicken soup last night, specifically to replenish blood. I brought it over for you. Drink it while it's hot."

Celeste took out the chicken soup and placed it on the table.

Having only had a bowl of porridge in the morning, Camilla was indeed a bit hungry. She took a sip and smiled, "Thank you, Celeste."

She paused and continued, "How is Cherry doing?"

At this, Celeste became very excited, "The doctor said Cherry could wake up within twenty-four hours, which means she's officially out of danger. I didn't expect her to wake up early this morning. Her dad is with her in the ward now. Miss Jenkins, we really don't know how to thank you enough."

Camilla put down the soup and stood up, "Cherry is awake? I want to go see her, is that okay?"

Celeste nodded, "You are Cherry's savior. I was even thinking of asking her to recognize you as her godmother, but I was afraid it would be too presumptuous. Let me help you go see her."

Camilla got up and put on her slippers, saying to the children, "Wait for me in the ward. I'll be right back."

She said this and immediately walked out.

Although she knew Cherry was out of danger, Camilla couldn't be at ease until she saw it with her own eyes.

In the room, Ivan and the four children looked at each other.

Owen's eyes widened, "Cherry is the kid who caused Mommy to need a blood transfusion and be hospitalized, right?"

Todd nodded, "Yeah. I don't know why Mommy is so concerned about someone else's child."

"Let's go take a look too," Keith said, leading the way out.

Angela quickly followed, "Cherry is a girl. Mommy wouldn't prefer someone else's daughter over me, would she?"

The four children left the ward together.

Ivan frowned, hesitated for a few seconds, and then followed them.

He wasn't interested in Cherry; he was worried that Camilla might impulsively donate blood again, disregarding her own health!

Cherry had just woken up from surgery, and visiting hours were limited to half an hour.

Colin sat beside her, softly telling her a story. Cherry could only move her eyes, her cute pupils rolling around. If it weren't for all the tubes, who would have thought such a lively girl would be lying in bed, unable to move?

"Cherry, Miss Jenkins is here," Celeste said softly. "It was Miss Jenkins who saved you this time. When you get better, you must repay her, remember?"

Cherry's eyes turned to Camilla.

She didn't speak, but Camilla could understand that her eyes were saying, "Thank you, I miss you so much. I can't bear to see you go."

Outside the ward, Ivan and the four children looked at Cherry through the glass window.

Cherry was wearing an oxygen mask and had a feeding tube in her mouth, with only her cute eyes visible.

Owen was a bit surprised and said, "Angela, her eyes look like yours."

Angela was about to deny it but suddenly froze.

Cherry's eyes did indeed look very much like hers.

Ivan looked at Cherry's eyes.

He couldn't help it and walked in step by step.

Up close, he could see the features under the oxygen mask.

Cherry looked so much like Angela when she was little.

Could this be the reason Haley was willing to risk her life to save Cherry?

Time quickly ran out, and the doctor ushered everyone out.

Standing at the door of the ward, they could still see Cherry's cute, round eyes, all filled with reluctance.
