Chapter 974

Angela bit her lower lip.

Even though she thought Haley was a bit of a hothead, Angela still missed her. She really wanted her mom to come home.

"What's wrong, Angela? Not liking the food?" Camilla asked gently, a smile playing on her lips.

Angela's tears were on the brink of spilling over. Her mom was never this gentle. Had she really made a mistake?

"Don't cry." Camilla quickly wiped away Angela's tears. "If you want to think of me as your mom, go ahead and call me Mommy. I don't mind."

Angela covered her mouth and started sobbing, her voice choked. "Can I hug you?"

"Of course."

Camilla reached out and hugged her.

Angela, even though she was nine now, lay on Camilla's shoulder and cried her heart out.

Dominic, standing a bit away, snapped a few photos and let out a heavy sigh.

He had been with Angela for three years and had never seen her lose control like this.

The genius pianist Angela was always cool and aloof in public. She rarely showed any emotion.

Angela only offered a faint smile in the presence of her father and brothers.

Today, Dominic saw Angela genuinely smile and cry in sorrow. Could this woman really be Haley, who had been missing for four years?

Dominic was about to check Haley's old photos when he noticed Angela, who had been crying on Camilla's shoulder, suddenly stop. Angela picked a long hair off Camilla's shoulder and quietly tucked it into her sleeve.

Dominic couldn't help but admire Angela's smarts.

Angela was indeed clever, hiding a hair to take back for a DNA test. Once the results were in, everything would be clear.

"Look at you, you've cried yourself into a little kitten," Camilla said, wiping Angela's face with a wet tissue. "The fans outside the restaurant might think I bullied you."

Angela looked up seriously and said, "Today's incident won't make the news, don't worry, Mommy."

After that, she finally started eating.

After the meal, Dominic walked over respectfully. "Miss Winston, the plane takes off in half an hour. We need to head to the airport now."

Angela looked at Camilla, full of reluctance. "Mommy, can I have your contact info?"

"Let's add each other on Facebook."

They added each other as Facebook friends.

Dominic, along with eight bodyguards, escorted Angela out of the restaurant and respectfully saw her into the car, which slowly disappeared into the streets of Brussville.

At that moment, Camilla's heart suddenly felt a bit empty. She didn't go back to the company but drove straight to The Jenkins Mansion.

As soon as she walked in, Nicole's voice rang out. "Camilla, why did you come back empty-handed?"

Camilla raised an eyebrow lightly. "Was I supposed to bring something back?"

"Camilla, didn't you forget tomorrow is Grandma's eightieth birthday? Shouldn't you have prepared a gift?" Nicole said, blinking.

"The birthday gift has long been prepared. No need for you to worry." Camilla's face remained indifferent. Nicole's instigation didn't bother her at all.

In the entire Jenkins Family, Nicole's grandmother, Odette Jenkins, openly disliked her.
