Chapter 535
"Mr. Winston, your brain examination results are out," the doctor handed over the report, his face serious. "The blood clot at the back of your head has coagulated. It might not disappear by itself, so we suggest that you have a surgery to remove it."
Ivan frowned. "What would happen if the blood clot is not removed?"
"It could cause frequent headaches," the doctor paused. "But it's just a minor surgery, and you’ll recover in two months. When would you like to have it?"
Ivan pursed his lips.
He didn't really have time for surgery lately.
He furrowed his brow, "A bit later. I got something to handle right now. I’ll come back for a check."
"Alright, but you’d better come back for a follow-up within three months." the doctor handed him a form. "You'll need to stay in the hospital for observation for a week, and if everything is fine, you can be discharged."
Ivan rubbed his chin. "I'm getting married on the 6th of next month."
The doctor was speechless.
The news of the Winston Group's president getting married had spread all over Watertown. He already knew.
"So, I’d like to be discharged today," Ivan said calmly, "Sign the discharge form."
"I don’t think that’s a good idea." The doctor became anxious. "Your injury hasn't healed yet. You can’t be discharged today. You should stay for at least three more days."
"I said today. Get it?"
Ivan's voice was cold, but there was an undeniable authority in his tone.
The doctor's mouth opened and closed, but in the end, he nodded in resignation. "Alright, I'll sign the discharge form."
Haley took the children to the bridal shop.
Due to time constraints, there was no time for custom-made wedding dresses, so they had to buy ready-made ones.
"Miss Deross, this is the treasure of our store, a wedding dress handcrafted by a French master over three years," the store clerk warmly introduced. "This gown is adorned with 999 tiny gemstones, with patterns on the neckline, waist, and skirt all made of precious stones. Each gem was meticulously sewn on by the design master's own hands...."
Looking at the dazzling white wedding dress in front of her, Haley was full of admiration.
She had never imagined herself in a wedding dress.
This wedding dress was handmade, with classical patterns on the skirt, each flower embellished with at least six gemstones. Under the crystal lights, the dress was glowing from top to bottom. It was the dream wedding dress for every woman.
"Miss Deross, would you like to try it on?"
Haley snapped out of her thoughts. "Sure, I'll like to have a try."
Two shop assistants pushed the wedding dress into the fitting room, while two others went in to help with putting on the dress.
The four children sat outside, attended by another staff member.
Owen touched his chin and said, "The bride wears a white wedding dress, what color should the groom wear?"
The staff member respectfully replied, "Generally, the groom would wear a pure black suit or a pink suit, depending on the groom's preference."
Owen turned to Angela. "What color do you think Daddy will wear?"
"I like pink." The little girl blinked her sapphire-like eyes. "I want to wear a pink dress."
"Then I'll wear black!" Owen smirked, "I’m going to steal the spotlight from Daddy!"
Keith and Todd were not interested in trying on clothes, but it was an important day for Daddy and Mommy, so they patiently selected their outfits.
"Wow, Angela, you look so beautiful in this pink dress!"
When the little girl walked out of the fitting room, the eyes of her three brothers lit up.
The cute little rice ball looked even more adorable in the shiny pink dress.
Owen pounded the table. "I've decided, I'll wear pink too."
