Chapter 619
Todd stood up, and his eyes turned dark.
He looked at Keith, who was almost as tall as him, and said slowly, "I want to strengthen myself andprotect Mommy."
Keith pursed his lips. "You still don't trust Daddy, do you?"
"Does he have any trustworthy qualities?" Todd countered. "They say children's personalities change quickly, but Ivan's changes are even faster than a child's. I can't be sure he will love Mommy forever. So, all I can do is to make myself stronger. When Mommy is completely disappointed in him one day, I will leave with Mommy and Angela."
"So..." Keith's voice was hoarse. "you never thought about Owen and me?"
"You have the Winston surname, while Angela and I have the Deross surname. We are not on the same path." Todd turned around and sat on the bed, with his brows furrowed, looking very resistant.
Upon seeing him like this, Keith had no idea what to say.
After Ivan and Haley encountered problems, Keith's first thought was to explain for Ivan, to help him explain.
Keith always felt that he loved Mommy very much.
But when problems arose in this family, Keith realized how despicable he was.
To maintain the superficial happiness of their family of six, he could actually disregard Haley's feelings.
Keith was the eldest child, but he was not as good as Todd.
"Todd, I'll handle it," Keith looked at Todd and said. "I will protect every one of you; please trust me."
Todd pursed his lips and said, "I hope so."
That night, Ivan did not return.
But he returned early in the morning.
Alfred was extremely surprised and hurriedly welcomed him in, "Mr. Winston, have you had breakfast?"
Martin casually threw his suit jacket on the sofa and frowned. "Where is Keith?"
"It's six in the morning now; he should still be resting," Alfred asked cautiously, "Does sir need the young master for something urgent? Should I wake him up early?"
"Get him up immediately ."
Martin's brows were tightly furrowed, showing impatience all over his face.
Alfred didn't want to cause trouble, so he quickly went upstairs and knocked on Keith's room door.
Keith didn't sleep at all that night. He kept thinking about how to make himself stronger and how to protect Haley.
Keith thought too much and ended up staying awake all night.
"Young Master, Mr. Winston asks you to come downstairs right now," Alfred was startled halfway through. "Why do you get such heavy dark shadows under your eyes? Did you stay up very late last night?"
"I'm fine." Keith put on his jacket and got out of bed. "Why he ask for me so early?"
"I'm not sure about that, but it seems to be something very important." Alfred helped Keith put on his shoes and tidied his hair.
Keith went downstairs and immediately saw Martin lying on the sofa.
The previous Ivan would exude an elegant aura no matter where he sat, even when tired, Ivan's posture still carried the grace of the noble class.
But now, Ivan was lying lazily,, with his legs on the table, looked like an uncouth nouveau riche.
Keith suppressed this strange feeling and obediently asked, "Dad, why did you need to see me so urgently?"
"Come with me to the company."
