Chapter 971

The girl looked about nine, with long hair cascading over her shoulders and a pink bow perched on her head. Her eyes, like grapes, were calm and steady.

She stayed cool despite the chatter around her, her face showing no extra emotion. She seemed more like eighteen than nine.

Camilla kept staring at her, feeling a weird sense of familiarity.

She didn't usually listen to piano music or watch piano concerts, so she was sure she'd never seen this girl before. Why did she feel like she knew her?

"Miss Winston, please get in the car."

The bodyguard opened the car door respectfully, inviting Angela to get in.

Angela was about to bend down and get in when she suddenly froze.

She felt a strong gaze on her. She was used to being the center of attention, but this felt different.

She slowly turned her head, her eyes scanning the crowd until they landed on Camilla not far away.

Angela's eyes widened instantly. She suddenly turned and walked quickly in that direction.

"Miss Winston!"

The bodyguard was startled and quickly ran up, blocking the onlookers who wanted an autograph.

Camilla just watched as Angela hurriedly walked towards her, stepping aside to avoid blocking her path.

But Angela suddenly grabbed her wrist, her usually indifferent face showing sorrow, and tears welled up in her eyes.

"Mommy!" Angela choked out, tears streaming down her face.

Camilla quickly steadied her. "Little girl, you must have mistaken me for someone else. I'm not your mommy."

Her child would be about three years old, definitely not Angela.

Angela's tear-filled eyes stared at Camilla, whose face was so clear in front of her.

She realized that this face was a bit different from her mommy's.

Did she mistake a woman for her mother because she missed her mommy so much?

Angela wiped her tears with her sleeve, still choking up. "What's your name?"

Feeling her hot tears fall on the back of her hand, Camilla's heart tightened a bit. She slowly said, "My name is Camilla Jenkins. What's your name?"

Looking at the gentle Camilla, Angela thought to herself, 'I couldn't be wrong! She is my Mommy!'

"I'm Angela Winston. No, I'm Angela Deross!"

After her mom disappeared, she and Todd changed their last names. Her mom didn't know she had changed her name.

She had grown up and looked different. Her mommy must not have recognized her.

Angela's eyes widened, filled with hope.

Camilla smiled. "Your name is beautiful, Angela."

"Don't you remember this name?" Angela's eyes widened. "I'm Angela, Mommy, I'm your beloved daughter. How can you forget me? Mommy, I finally found you."
