Chapter 747
Haley slept until dawn.
After washing up, she changed into a formal dress and went downstairs.
The kids were sitting in the dining room having breakfast, with Karl and Pitt chatting non-stop.
"Haley, you look so beautiful today! Are you going on a date?” Pitt asked, staring at her curiously.
Haley smiled and said, "I'm going to a concert. Kids, do you want to come with me?"
"I want to go," Angela's eyes lit up. "Mommy, I haven't played the piano in a long time."
Haley sighed quietly.
In her rush to leave Watertown, many things were disrupted. The kids couldn't attend preschool as usual, Angela couldn't continue her piano lessons, and Keith and Todd couldn't go to the company to handle their work.
But for the children's safety, she had no choice.
Haley smiled gently and said, "Then today, I'll take you to the concert, and then we'll see if your piano skills have regressed."
Angela was delighted and quickly went upstairs to change her dress.
Owen blinked his big eyes and asked, "Mommy, can I go too?"
Yesterday, he had made a big mistake and was afraid of being scolded by Keith again, so he didn't dare to be too lively today.
"Of course, everyone can go," Haley said with a smile. "As long as we don't go to Hinterlands, it's safe around here. Today, I'll take you all to the concert and then we'll have a big meal, okay?"
Seeing the smile on Haley's face, Todd felt relieved.
Over the past month, he finally saw Mommy smile again, and it was because they had found Daddy.
He increasingly realized that Daddy seemed to be becoming more important in Mommy's heart, though he wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing.
After breakfast, Haley took the kids out. Thomas shamelessly insisted on coming along, but Haley didn't want to trouble him and promptly kicked him out of the car.
The country wasn't very big; driving from the southernmost point to the northernmost point took less than two hours. The city center was bustling and lively, in stark contrast to Hinterlands, where people lived in dire straits, their lives constantly under threat, while here people indulged in pleasure and enjoyed life.
The opera house here was world-renowned, with globally acclaimed masters performing daily.
As soon as Haley appeared at the entrance of the opera house with the kids, they immediately attracted a lot of attention.
Haley, with her striking beauty, was already a sight to behold. And the kids beside her—handsome, cool, charming, and cute—though not the most admired looks locally, still garnered much affection from passersby.
Someone enthusiastically came over to inquire.
Haley generously told them, "Yes, these are all my children, quadruplets, three boys and one girl."
“I'm so envious of you, having quadruplets,” a passerby said admiringly. “But can such young children really appreciate a concert?”
Keith looked up and said, "Angela has a talent for music. She loves concerts and she is a piano prodigy."
The passerby laughed. "Really? Then she must be amazing."
It was clear from his tone that he didn't believe such young children could truly understand piano music.
Haley didn't bother explaining further and followed the crowd into the concert hall. No one was performing on stage yet, but the audience had already quieted down on their own.
