Chapter 641

Martin, in front of Haley, instructed Robert to recall the men he had sent.

Upon hearing his words, Haley felt as if all her strength had been drained, and she collapsed onto the bed with her weak legs.

She stared blankly at her palms and suddenly began to cry.

"I'm sorry, Ivan."

Martin's heart felt like it was being twisted.

He put his phone back in his pocket, and walked to the bedside, whispering, "Stop overthinking, just focus on taking care of yourself."

"I'm sorry," Haley grasped his shirt hem. "After that night four years ago, when I thought Keith and Owen were dead, I got paranoid. I went to the hospital for treatment, and the doctor said I had paranoid delusions and severe depression."

Haley gave a bitter smile. "A few months ago, when I found out the kids were still alive, I thought I was cured. But... I'm sorry, it's my fault. My paranoia made me send the kids abroad. I'm sorry, Ivan. You can bring the kids back anytime; I won't mind."

Haley's sudden change in attitude left Martin at a loss.

He had never seen a woman whose attitude changed so quickly as Haley.

Suddenly, there was a flash of light outside the window.

Haley instinctively pulled the blanket over her face.

"Those reporters already captured you being hospitalized," Martin said calmly. "They also caught me dropping everything at the company to rush here. Now, people online are saying that we are deeply in love and as affectionate as ever."

"Really?" Haley responded softly. "Then can you suppress the news online? I'm afraid the children will worry if they see me sick.."

Martin nodded slightly.

At this moment, a nurse came in and started the IV drip for Haley again. She leaned against the pillow and fell asleep again.

Martin didn't leave; he sat in the room, handling the mountain of paperwork.

His eyes kept drifting to Haley lying on the bed.

Martin felt like he was bewitched, caring so much about his brother's wife.

Luckily, Ivan was already dead.

"My children, my children!"

Haley started to thrash around, her voice filled with pain.

Martin walked over, taking her hand, and said softly, "It's okay. It's okay now."

"No! My children, don't hurt my children!"

Haley kept repeating this, her face contorted in pain, drenched in sweat, but she couldn't wake up.

She was tormented over and over again in her dream.

"Haley, wake up! Don't sleep, wake up."

Martin patiently called her name, but she seemed trapped in a nightmare, unable to open her eyes.

Just then, the doctor walked in.

"Mr. Winston, it's best not to wake the patient up in this condition," the doctor said seriously. "If these nightmares keep happening, it could be due to a psychological issue, commonly known as a mental block. She'll need a psychologist to help her gradually recover."

Martin, with a stern face, said, "Get a psychologist here tomorrow to give it a try."
