Haley and Ivan had just gotten married, and their relationship wasn't yet intimate enough for her to be completely familiar with his personal clothing.
Haley pondered while taking a bath but when she came out of the bathroom, Martin, who was smoking on the balcony, was nowhere to be seen.
She opened the door and walked out, only to see Brenda pacing anxiously in the living room.
"Haley, there was an emergency at Ivan's company, so he left in the car just now," Brenda explained hastily, " I'll make sure to talk to him when he comes back. It's getting late, you should get some rest."
Haley smiled and nodded, "You too, Mom"
She returned to her room, closed the door, and then made a phone call.
"Pitt, can I consult you on psychological matters?"
"Haley, have you been having nightmares again recently?"
Pitt Garcia was Haley's private psychologist when she was abroad. At that time, she thought two of her children had died, and suffered from nightmares every night
Haley would go to Pitt’s clinic for treatment every week during those four long years.

"What possibility?"
"Multiple personality disorder," Pitt said solemnly, "it’s when a person harbors two personalities, the primary one being the one usually in control, and the secondary one rarely emerges. if you feel he has changed, it's likely his secondary personality has taken over his consciousness."
Haley widened her eyes in disbelief. "Why would multiple personalities develop?"
" "It often stems from severe trauma in childhood, such as the sudden death of a close family member, or witnessing a loved one's death firsthand, " Pitt paused before saying, "of course, this is just a hypothesis. I would need to see him in person to make a proper diagnosis "
Haley lowered her eyelids.
If Pitt said so, there was a good chance that Ivan had multiple personalities disorder.
After all, a person couldn't just suddenly stop loving his wife and children in just a few days.
Unless, a personality change had occurred.
Haley took a deep breath and asked "After a personality switch, can the secondary personality still remember what happened before?"
"It's hard to say, it depends " Pitt said, " You should bring him to my clinic. If you can't go out of the country, I can recommend a psychologist who recently opened a psychological clinic in Watertown, and she's much better than me."
Haley shook her head. "Thank you, Pitt, there’s no need for now."
Her relationship with Ivan had deteriorated so much that it wasn't realistic to take him to see a psychologist.
After a pause, Haley said, "Is there a way to switch his primary personality back?"
"That would require knowing what he experienced in his childhood," Pitt said slowly, "Eighty percent of people who develop multiple personalities have suffered severe psychological trauma. Such people like to eat sweets, and enjoy cute things. If you can make him feel loved, warm, and safe, the primary personality might come back on its own
That night, Haley and Pitt talked for a long time.
After hanging up the phone, the light was already appearing on the horizon.Haley felt wide awake, so she changed her clothes and went downstairs.
