Chapter 1017
Nicole took the gift box in disbelief.
Her hands trembled slightly as she opened the box to reveal a dress sparkling with starlight, which was a new release from a luxury brand this month. She never imagined it would end up in her hands.
"Is this for me?" Nicole looked up, her voice a bit unsteady.
Bryan nodded calmly. "If you don't like it, I can get you another one."
He just couldn't understand Owen's intention.
The Jenkins family—Bryan had never heard of them in Watertown. Could they be relatives of the Winston family? Why didn't Owen deliver it himself?
"I like it." Nicole's eyes sparkled as she looked at Bryan. "Why are you giving me this dress?"
"It's not from me, it's..."
Owen had instructed him not to reveal the Winston family.
Bryan changed his words at the last moment. "I happened to have an extra one since you got your dress dirty."
"Thank you."
Nicole finally began to calm down.
Her eyes sparkled, and a youthful smile appeared on her lips. "May I ask your name?"
"I'm Bryan Lumi." Bryan extended his hand. "Miss Jenkins, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Mr. Lumi, it's a pleasure to meet you too."
Nicole grasped his warm fingertips. His hand was clean and slightly warm, making her reluctant to let go.
Bryan withdrew his hand. "Miss Jenkins, let me guide you to the dressing room."
Nicole nodded, shyly following Bryan. She instinctively followed Bryan with blank mind to the dressing room to change into the dress.
Watching the dressing room door close, Bryan finally breathed a sigh of relief.
This was the first time those kids asked him for help, and he was afraid of messing it up.
"Uncle Bryan!" Owen ran over again. "These are a pair of earrings and a bracelet. Please give them to her for me."
Bryan recognized the earrings; they were the highlight of a charity gala a few days ago, once worn by a royal princess. Each earring had a large pink diamond and sixty-six smaller diamonds, each worth a fortune. The earrings were priced at nearly twenty million dollars.
The bracelet was an antique, valued at eight million dollars.
"Are you willing to give away such expensive items?" Bryan asked.
Owen smiled brightly. "As long as she likes them, I'll give her anything."
After saying that, Owen quickly hid around the corner.
Bryan was silent. Owen was only nine years old. The Miss Jenkins he just saw looked about twenty. He must be overthinking it.
Nicole walked out of the dressing room in a daze. When she saw Bryan still waiting at the door, she became even more shy after her initial surprise.
"Mr. Lumi, were you waiting for me?"
Bryan coughed lightly and said softly, "Your necklace is very beautiful."
Nicole shyly smiled. "Thank you, Mr. Lumi. I also think the Heart of the Ocean is beautiful."
Bryan frowned slightly. He remembered that the Heart of the Ocean was bought by Ivan years ago and given to Haley.
How could it be on Miss Jenkins?
Bryan looked at the earrings Nicole was wearing—ordinary pearls, probably worth no more than a hundred thousand dollars.
And the bracelet on her wrist, made of platinum with a single diamond, worth at most fifty thousand dollars.
