Chapter 786

Katherine's eyes widened rapidly, and she grabbed Haley's sleeve in a panic. "Where is Martin?"

Haley glanced at her injuries and said coldly, "After what he did to you, you still care about where he is?"

"You killed him, didn't you?" Terror flashed in Katherine's eyes. "Haley, how could you do that? Martin made many mistakes, but he truly loved you. How could you hurt him? You're so heartless, so cold-blooded! How could you..."

Haley pulled her hand away. "He's alive, but he's temporarily lost his freedom. Do you want to see him?"

Katherine nodded vigorously. "Where is he?"

Haley shook her head lightly.

Katherine, a young girl and one of the world's top ten psychologists, was remarkable, yet hopelessly in love with the devilish Martin.

Life was beautiful, full of better choices, yet Katherine chose to plunge into the abyss.

Since it was Katherine's own choice, Haley had nothing more to say.

She could also use this to make Katherine obedient.

"Ivan's memory was erased by you, so you're responsible for bringing it back," Haley said calmly. "When his memory is restored, I'll take you to see Martin."

As Haley and Katherine were talking, Ivan walked out of the villa.

Because he was dining, he wasn't wearing a mask. His presence was already imposing, and with the scar on his face, he exuded an aura of authority that was overwhelming and intimidating.

Katherine thought of what had happened that day.

The grand Watertown wedding captivated many, yet Ivan, the groom, was subdued by Martin and taken to the basement.

When she saw Ivan, there was a new scar on his face, untreated and bleeding.

She still remembered what Martin had said, "No one in this world has the right to have a face identical to mine."

So he ruined Ivan's face just like that.

If Ivan recalled the past, Martin's fate would be even more miserable.

"No." Katherine shook her head. "I've been severely traumatized recently; I can't perform hypnosis anymore."

"You don't need to perform the hypnosis yourself," Pitt said as he walked out, snorting. "Just tell me the methods you used to erase the memory, and I'll break it."

Katherine was stunned as she looked at Pitt.

Pitt was an internationally renowned psychologist who never expected to be brought here by Haley.

"If Pitt help Ivan regain the memory, then you'll lose your only chance to see Martin," Haley said, twirling her hair. "Katherine, you have ten minutes to consider it. If you refuse, I'll ask Pitt to help me."

Ivan's sharp eyes fixed on Katherine, and he sneered. "So it was you who erased my memory. Maybe I should let you experience what it's like to lose your memory."

Upon hearing this, Pitt immediately rubbed his hands together. "I've never erased someone's memory before. I could use you for practice."

Katherine's eyes widened in terror.

If she lost her memory, she would become a puppet at others' mercy. She couldn't allow that to happen.

"Fine, I agree," Katherine quickly compromised. "But I'm not sure if it will work."

Haley turned and walked into the villa. "Then let's go upstairs first."

The group headed to the study on the second floor.

Owen curiously followed, but Todd held him back by the shoulder. "Daddy and Mommy have important things to do. You sit tight."

Brenda sighed. Once Ivan's memory was restored, it would be time for her to leave.
