Chapter 915

Haley shoved Brenda hard.

Brenda didn't see it coming and hit the carpet with a thud.

"Ever since you took Martin's side, you stopped being family to me. But you're still the kids' grandma, so I gotta respect that," Haley glared down at Brenda. "But handing Angela over to Martin? If anything happens to her, I might just send you to join him."

Her face was calm, but her words were ice-cold.

"Ivan, did you hear that? This is the woman you married. She wants to kill your mother!" Brenda rasped, looking at Ivan. "This witch is gonna tear the Winston Family apart. She killed your brother, and now she wants to kill me."

Ivan's voice was like ice, "The Winston Family was already a mess before Haley. Mom, you should go to Country Y. If I get the chance, I'll bring the kids to visit."

Brenda's shoulders slumped. She couldn't believe it, "Martin's dead. I have no one left, and you still want to send me away?"

"Why stick around?" Haley's lips twisted into a cold smile. "The happier we are, the more you'll feel like Martin got a raw deal. You only care about Martin, so stop breaking your other son's heart."

Brenda clutched her chest, tears streaming down.

Ivan's face stayed stone-cold, "The flight's at nine tonight. Mom, pack your stuff."

He took Haley's hand, and they headed upstairs. Brenda covered her mouth, sobbing.

In the bedroom, Haley let go of Ivan's hand and looked up at him, "Are you mad at me for treating your mom like that?"

Ivan's hand slid around the back of her neck. He said softly, "Haley, I should've sent her away a long time ago. My soft heart let things get this bad."

Haley leaned into his arms.

That night at eight, Alfred personally took Brenda to the Watertown airport. By the time the kids noticed, Brenda was already on a plane to Country Y.

Angela tilted her head. "Mommy, why did Grandma leave by herself?"

"Grandma said she'd take us to the farm in Country Y," Owen pouted. "There are cows and kangaroos there. Grandma said they're super cute, and I really wanna pet them."

Haley smiled gently. "Once we're done with this busy period, I'll take you to Country Y to see Grandma."

"Awesome!" Owen jumped up. "Can we all go together?"

Owen bounced around Haley and accidentally stepped on her foot.

Haley was wearing slippers, and Owen's weight made her big toe throb.

Frowning and with a displeased set to her lips, she spoke in a serious tone, "Owen, be more careful next time. If it happens again, you'll be punished to stand for an hour."

Owen was stunned. He'd stepped on Mommy's toe before, and she never cared. Why now...

"Aren't you gonna apologize to Mommy?" Todd gave him a nudge.
