Camilla glanced at Ivan's marital status. He had a big wedding four and a half years ago, but just a month later, a scandal broke out about him having a mistress.
Camilla scoffed.
It wasn't shocking that Ivan, who had drugged and harassed her the first time they met, would cheat on his wife.
She felt bad for Ivan's wife. Camilla couldn't imagine how she managed to deal with it.
A knock on the door snapped her out of her thoughts. Camilla put away her phone and said, "Come in."
Samantha walked in with a steaming cup of milk. "Camilla, you didn't sleep well last night. Have some milk and get some rest today."
Camilla nodded and took the milk.
After she finished drinking, Samantha took the empty cup. She looked like she wanted to say something but hesitated.
"Mom, you don't need to feel guilty," Camilla said with a smile. "The Jenkins family has taken care of me for three years. It's my turn to repay the favor."
Samantha looked even more guilty. "Camilla, I'm sorry."
She had schemed against Camilla yesterday, and now she was asking her to help the Jenkins family.
She had never felt so shameless.
"If I become Mr. Winston's secretary, I might have to go to Watertown with him," Camilla said with a smile. "That means I've officially left the Jenkins family. I'll visit you whenever I can."
"Camilla."
Samantha tightly gripped the milk cup in her hand.
She had done a lot of scheming against Camilla for Nicole.
To prevent Camilla from seeking revenge on the Jenkins family, she had done many things she found hard to admit. Yet Camilla was still willing to come back and visit her.
"Mom, get some rest. Everything will be over after tomorrow."
Camilla smiled as she watched Samantha leave, then closed the door.
She felt that Samantha's guilt and unease were too intense.
In fact, the Jenkins family hadn't treated her too badly. Why was Samantha feeling so guilty?
She had a good night's sleep. When Camilla got up, it was just past five in the morning.
The Jenkins family was still asleep. She stepped outside, planning to meet Ivan alone.
"Camilla, why are you leaving so early? Wait for me!"
Nicole came running down the stairs, applying lipstick as she hurried to catch up.
"Camilla, you have been so good to me these three years. How can I just watch you suffer alone? I'll go with you."
Camilla asked, "You really want to go?"
"Of course!" Nicole put away her makeup. "Camilla, let me try first. I really like Mr. Winston."
She shook Camilla's arm. "I fell in love with Mr. Winston at first sight. If I can become his secretary, I'll definitely express my gratitude properly."
Camilla nodded. "If you want to go, then let's go together."
Nicole happily followed her into the car.
