Chapter 486

He felt like a coward now. When Haley finished singing a song and came back, she found that the newly opened champagne bottle was already half empty.

Ivan's eyes were already showing signs of drunkenness.

She was also amazed.

He had promised to help her take care of the children but ended up drinking himself.

She glanced at him and decided to keep a safe distance.

The children were all having a great time, singing and dancing together, having fun, and soon it was already ten o'clock at night.

"Alright, it's time to go to bed, line up for showers," Haley said, turning off the music and clapping her hands.

The children were very obedient, Haley took Angela to the second-floor bedroom to shower, while the other three boys went to Todd's room to shower together.

By ten-thirty at night, the four children were already asleep in bed.

While Haley was downstairs cleaning up, she saw Ivan leaning on the sofa, his eyes closed, holding a glass of wine in his hand.

The champagne had long been drunk, and this man had almost finished a bottle by himself.

"Hey, wake up."

Haley went over and called out a few times, but the man didn't respond at all.

She took the glass from his hand, helped him lie down on the sofa, and went upstairs to get a thin blanket to cover him.

Ivan slept on the sofa without even frowning, clearly having drunk too much.

Haley couldn't help but sigh.

He had promised to help her take care of the children, but in the end, she was the one taking care of four kids and him!

She resigned herself to continue cleaning the living room, picking up the remnants of many things on the carpet, throwing them into the trash can, sweeping and wiping repeatedly. While she was busy, she suddenly heard someone calling her name.

"Haley."

"Haley."

One after another, he first tentatively called her softly, and then the voice gradually grew louder.

Haley thought Ivan had woken up, she turned her head to look, only to see him with his eyes closed, calling her name repeatedly with his exquisitely thin lips.

She froze in place.

"Haley!"

Ivan's hand reached out in the air and accurately grabbed Haley's arm.

Startled, she instinctively tried to break free, only to see the man who had just had his eyes closed suddenly open them.

His eyes were filled with a hazy drunkenness, completely different from the usual Ivan.

It was as if he had suddenly taken off his tough armor and revealed his true self.
His gaze fell on her, and the strength in his hand increased slightly.

"Haley, I have something to tell you."

Ivan slowly spoke, his voice full of magnetism, causing Haley to involuntarily stop struggling.

She pursed her lips, feeling nervous, and asked, "What do you want to tell me?"

"Haley, do you know, you are the first woman I care so much about."

Upon hearing this, Haley's heart started pounding faster.

Her intuition was right, this man came tonight to confess his feelings.

He didn't dare to confess, so he drank so much to muster up the courage.

She tightly pursed her crimson lips, not daring to move, all her attention focused on her ears, carefully listening to the man's voice.

"I don't know when I started caring about you. At first, I didn't know who the father of your children was, and I was very jealous of that man, really jealous."

Ivan's voice was very hoarse, with a somewhat disjointed tone.
