Chapter 635
The whole family sat around the dining table, enjoying breakfast.
After they had nearly finished eating, Haley spoke, "Yesterday, I received a call from an overseas educational institution; it was from Todd and Angela's former teachers."
Brenda put down her fork. "Was it about something important?"
Haley nodded. " Back then, when Angela was unwell and received treatment at that educational institution, I also enrolled Todd in an early education program there. When we returned home a few months ago, it was quite rushed, and some formalities were left incomplete. They called to ask me to come over and finalize the procedures. I want to take Todd and Angela on a trip abroad."
Brenda frowned. "But can't Alfred handle this for you?"
"It's true that Alfred could handle it, but the teachers at that institution miss Angela and Todd." Haley smiled. "Initially, I had both children with me, juggling work, and it was the teachers at this institution who took care of them meticulously, allowing Todd and Angela to grow up smoothly. I think it's proper for me to take them to visit their former teachers. Ivan, what do you think?"
Haley looked at Martin beside her, seemingly seeking his opinion.
Martin pursed his lips. He didn't care where the kids went...
If the children stayed with the Winston family, he would have to divert his attention to deal with them.
Martin calmly said, "You are the children's mother. I have no objections to wherever you want to take them."
"But," Brenda disagreed, "Todd and Angela are still so young, traveling abroad is troublesome, and they might easily fall ill in a different environment."
"Grandma, Angela and I have lived abroad for many years. I want to go back and take a look," Todd obediently said. "We planted a tree behind the house, and I want to know if it's still alive after we left."
Angela blinked. "I carved a little rabbit on the tree."
"Really?" Owen curiously said, "I really want to go abroad to see the rabbit Angela carved."
Keith paused. "Grandma, Dad, I also want to go abroad to see where Mom used to live."
Martin glanced at Keith. "Have you forgotten about the task I assigned to you?"
Keith's fingers tightened.
He had really tried hard to guess the password for that safe, but he still couldn't figure it out.
Was he really that stupid? Did he really disappoint Ivan?
Keith lowered his head, anxiously twisting his hands.
A pang of pain struck Haley's heart.
She patted Keith's back and looked at Martin with a gentle smile. "Ivan, don't put so much pressure on the kids, okay? Can we talk about it after we go back to our country with the kids?"
Haley's voice carried a hint of coquetry.
No man could resist Haley's coquetry.
Martin instantly relented. "Alright, let's talk about it after you get back."
"Yeah, that's great. I can go abroad with Mom!" Owen happily ran around the living room.
Keith also smiled.
With Haley and Martin having reached an agreement, Brenda had no further reason to object.
After the meal, Martin went directly to the company.
Haley stayed back to pack the children's belongings.
Brenda helped Haley tidy up the daily necessities. "Haley, is it so urgent? Are you leave today?"
