Chapter 622
Martin squinted his eyes.
Kevin and Ivan looked so similar, with identical eyes, lips, and aura.
If he were a bit taller, Martin almost thought it was the fifteen-year-old Ivan standing in front of him.
For over twenty years, he had been trampled under Ivan's feet.
Now, he would no longer tolerate Ivan in any way.
"I don't have time to answer your questions!" Martin's eyes were sinister, "What were you looking for just now?"
His gaze was extremely aggressive, piercing Kevin's forehead like a sharp arrow.
No matter how smart and calm Kevin was, he was just a four-year-old child who couldn't withstand Martin's imposing pressure.
His lips gradually turned pale, and cold sweat broke out on his back again.
"He was helping me find something, what's the matter?"
A cold voice came from outside the office.
Kevin looked up. It was Haley stepped in with high heels, walking slowly, and then stood in front of him.
His heart strangely settled at that moment.
Haley shielded Kevin behind her, her gaze coldly fixed on the man before her. "Yesterday when I came to deliver breakfast, I dropped my earring in your office. I asked Kevin to help me look for it in the office. Does it matter?"
Martin coldly pursed his lips. "Is that so?"
Haley smirked mockingly, "Are you so afraid of Kevin searching your office because you're worried he might find something he shouldn’t?
She tiptoed close to Martin's ear, lowered her voice. "Do you afraid he might find women's stockings, lingerie, or evidence of your lovemaking?"
Martin's face darkened, then he smiled coldly.
He stared at Haley and said slowly, "I overestimated you before. I didn't expect you, out of jealousy, to drag a child into this.."
"I'm just an ordinary woman; I'm not as noble as you imagine." Haley raised her hand to adjust Martin's tie, smiled slightly. "I'm here to take Kevin home. You take your time; I hope you'll come home tonight."
Haley said as she took Kevin's hand.
When their fingertips touched, she was surprised to find Kevin's hand so cold, as if it had been taken out of an ice cellar.
Haley squeezed his small, soft hand hard, trying to warm him up a bit more.
"Robert, come in,"Martin said coldly.
Robert, dressed in a black suit, walked in with a respectful demeanor.
"Make sure to safely escort Keith back," Martin said to Robert. Then Martin looked at Haley, saying, "You stay here, and accompany me to an event later."
Haley glanced at Robert casually and asked, "Is this your new assistant?"
"Luke has been transferred to be the manager of the regional office; this is my new assistant, Robert."
Martin said calmly, "If you need anything in the future, you can directly find him."
Haley smiled and nodded at Robert. "Hello, I'm Haley."
She reached out her right hand.
Robert respectfully said, "Hello, just call me Robert."
He glanced at Martin before carefully shaking hands with Haley.
However, Haley gripped his hand firmly.
"Robert, nice to meet you."
After giving Robert's hand a firm squeeze, Haley finally let go.
The calluses on the fingertips and the thickness of the palm indicated that Robert was skilled in martial arts..
And his skills were not inferior to hers.
