Chapter 422
He slowly turned back, looked at Keith, frowned, and said, "What's it to you?"
"You're a hacker?" Keith pursed his lips. "And it seems like you're a leading figure in the hacker industry. Were you the opponent I encountered before?"
Todd slid the laptop into the gap in the cabinet on the balcony, stood up, and said, "That's right, it was me. Why didn't you accept my challenge?"
Keith paused and said, "I'm not interested in hackers, and you should stop interacting with other hackers, too; it's not safe."
A faint smirk appeared on Todd's face.
If he really wasn't interested in hackers, he wouldn't have registered an account on the Dark Web, and Keith's hacking skills were obviously good...
"I don't know what you're trying to accomplish by assembling a hacker team, but I want to remind you that it's best to stop," Keith continued, clearly remembering what Ivan had told him. Even though he was interested in hacking, he hadn’t actually used any hacking techniques for anything.
"I haven’t formed a hacker team; you’ve misunderstood," Todd said calmly. It's just a virtual game; don't tell Mom."
Keith glanced at him but didn't say anything.
Haley quickly prepared breakfast and brought out five breakfast plates. She was about to call the children over to eat when she suddenly froze.
"Owen!" She stared at Owen, her mouth wide open in astonishment. "What happened to you?"
Owen didn't think there was anything wrong with how he looked. He twirled around, holding up his skirt. "Angela picked this dress for me, and she did the makeup too. Don’t I look beautiful?"
Haley looked at him in a state of disbelief. "Beautiful?"
Todd silently gave him a wax stick.
Angela loved dressing up and doing makeup for Barbie. From now on, Owen was Barbie...
Keith couldn't bear to watch anymore and quietly said, "You should go remove the makeup quickly; otherwise, I won't be able to eat breakfast..."
"Come on, Owen, I’ll remove your makeup." Haley led Owen to the bathroom.
Owen had been quite proud of how he looked, but when he saw himself in the bathroom mirror, he was instantly horrified. "Your makeup skills are terrible, Angela! You've turned me into a ghost!"
Angela, who was feeling wronged, looked down at her fingers. "But isn't it pretty?"
Todd ruffled Angela's hair. "You'll get better with more practice. Owen will definitely cooperate with you."
This was Todd's first reference to Owen, but it ended up digging a big hole for Owen.
Even though Owen knew it was a trap, he obediently jumped in. "Angela, next time, don't use such heavy eyeshadow, okay?"
Angela smiled happily. "Next time, I'll use white."
White eyeshadow?
Wouldn’t that make him look even more like a ghost?
Owen's smile stiffened for a moment.
"Alright, alright, let's have breakfast. I'll take you all to the amusement park afterward."
When Haley gave the order, the four children obediently sat down to eat. Before long, all four breakfast plates were clean.
After Haley tidied up the kitchenware, she noticed that it was just half-past nine in the morning.
She herded the four children into the car and set off for the sprawling amusement park in Watertown, the largest of its kind in the area...
Elsewhere, Ivan was on the cusp of entering a meeting when his phone rang with an urgent call from Alfred. "Sir, we have a situation. Keith and Mr. Owen have taken off with their luggage..."
