Chapter 889
Martin perched on the edge of the bed, lifting Haley's chin with one hand. When the command kicked in, Haley snapped awake. She slapped Martin's hand away, just as she was about to speak.
Martin clamped a hand over her mouth, "Don't bring Ivan here. Otherwise, who knows what crazy stuff I might do."
He dangled the earring in his hand, "Even if I told you to off Ivan, you'd do it. Wanna take that risk?"
Haley spat out, "Bastard!"
"Can you imagine how stoked I was when I found out you had the Bio-intelligent Chip implanted?" Martin's hand brushed across Haley's face. "Can you imagine how thrilled I was when I found out that the Bio-intelligent Chip inside you was my creation? I was ready to rot in that basement, but you gave me hope."
Haley's face tightened, and she pulled back, dodging Martin's touch, which made her skin crawl.
How could he do such twisted and crazy things with a face identical to Ivan's?
"Haley, come with me," Martin leaned in closer. "I'll treat you right and love you forever. Leave Watertown with me."
Haley gritted her teeth, "In your dreams!"
"With this thing, it's not a dream," Martin toyed with the earring. "I'll give you three days to think it over. If you don't come with me willingly, then I'll issue an order."
"You..." Haley started to speak when there was a knock on the door.
"Haley, can I come in?" Ivan's voice came from outside.
Martin's eyes filled with mockery and jealousy. He got up from the bed and sneered, "If Ivan finds out I was here, I'll make you kill him!"
As soon as Martin finished, he pushed open the balcony window and jumped out. Haley quickly walked over, locking the balcony window tight. Knowing it was pointless, she still drew the curtains, plunging the room into darkness.
Ivan pushed the door open and walked in, "I thought you were asleep."
Haley forced a smile, "I was. The light from outside was too bright, so I pulled the curtains."
"Have dinner before you sleep," Ivan glanced at the time. "What do you want to eat? I'll make it."
Haley leaned into his arms, whispering, "I don't want to sleep alone. Stay with me tonight."
Ivan was taken aback. He wanted nothing more than to sleep with her. But given her current condition, he couldn't be too close to her, which would be a huge harm to her.
"Be good, Haley. I'll sleep with you when you feel better," Ivan coaxed softly. "I'll be in the next room. If you're scared, just call out. I'll hear you and keep you company."
Haley tugged at his tie and sighed silently. She was mainly afraid that Martin would sneak in again at night, and with the Bio-intelligent Chip controlling her, she wouldn't be able to resist him. But if Ivan and Martin ran into each other, things would get even messier.
