Hollis calmly stopped her. "Right now, public opinion is in our favor. If you secretly cause trouble, it could easily backfire. Let's wait."
Ava nodded. "Once Haley is down, Bryan is no threat. I'll take back the position of the Lumi Group's heir sooner or later!"
Just then, Hollis's phone suddenly vibrated on the bed.
She thought it was a message from Cauth and didn't even look at it. Ava glanced at it and reminded her, "Mom, it's an email."
As the president of the Lumi Group, Hollis had to handle no less than a hundred emails a day. She picked up her phone and chuckled. "They dismissed me from the president position this morning, and now they want me to handle work while I'm sick. The Lumi Group can't function without me."
She opened the email, and her fingers suddenly froze.
Ava handed over the peeled apple and snorted, "Mom, you've always been the one sacrificing for the company, letting Uncle and Grandpa bully and exploit you. If I were you, I wouldn't bother with the company's awful matters anymore. Mom, why do you look so pale? What's wrong?"
Hollis's face, already looking bad, turned even paler. The phone fell onto the bed with a thud.
Ava quickly leaned over to look, and her mind went blank.
The email contained a five-minute video. The first two minutes were of Hollis's scandalous deeds in her twenties and the real reason for her divorce back then.
