Chapter 1019

Nicole walked in through the door.

She was wearing a sparkling dress, diamond earrings on her ears, a Heart of the Ocean necklace around her neck, and a finely crafted bracelet on her wrist, making her look radiant.

Her eyes were constantly glowing.

Nicole's face was flushed, and she occasionally bit her lip and smiled, perfectly embodying a shy girl.

It was only then that Nicole noticed Camilla and Micah in the living room. She quickly restrained her smile and said, "Micah, Camilla, why are you staring at me?"

Micah frowned at her. "Why are you dressed like that? Where did you go?"

"I didn't go anywhere!"

Nicole lowered her head guiltily. She had managed to meet such a perfect man in the banquet hall all because she had stolen Camilla's invitation.

"Nicole, where exactly did you go dressed like this?" Micah asked, a bit frustrated. "How am I supposed to explain this to your mother?"

"There's nothing to explain," Nicole huffed. "But you drink like this. If your mother finds out, she'll definitely blame you. You should take care of yourself."

She kicked off her high heels, changed into slippers, and closed the door behind her.

Sitting in front of her vanity, she admired herself in the mirror. She felt that tonight, she was not at all inferior to Camilla.

The door to her room suddenly knocked.

Nicole quickly took off the Heart of the Ocean and hid it in the drawer, raising her voice. "Come in."

Camilla pushed the door open and walked in slowly, her voice cold. "If you cause any trouble in Watertown that embarrasses the Jenkins family, I won't clean up your mess."

Although she didn't have much experience in dating, she was sure that Nicole had definitely gone to see a man tonight. Only then did she have such a sweet smile on her face.

But they had only been in Watertown for one day. Camilla couldn't imagine what Nicole had done secretly.

"Nothing I do will embarrass the Jenkins family!" Nicole huffed. "I think you're just jealous of me."

Camilla smirked. "What do you have that's worth my jealousy?"

"Did you see these earrings and this bracelet? They were presents from someone," Nicole couldn't help but boast. "He fell in love with me at first sight, giving me a dress and two sets of jewelry. The total value of these things exceeds two million dollars."

"Anything that falls from the sky for free comes with a hidden price tag," Camilla said coldly. "What he wants from you is worth far more than that. Be careful."

With that, she turned and left the room. She had given her warning; what Nicole chose to do next was none of her business.

Nicole sat on the edge of the bed, repeatedly stroking the bracelet on her wrist.

That wealthy young Mr. Lumi was gentle and refined. He wouldn't deliberately deceive her.

The next day.

Before the sun had risen, Camilla was already up. She tidied herself up a bit and took a cab to the Winston Group.

First, Camilla wanted to discuss the previous project with the person in charge of the Winston Group. Second, she was looking for an opportunity to refuse the position of Ivan's secretary.

If she just walked in like this, it would be hard to leave unscathed.

The car stopped at the entrance of the Winston Group, and Camilla adjusted her makeup before walking in.

She approached the front desk and asked calmly, "I'm here to discuss a business contract with Mr. Torres."
