Haley and Ivan's wedding was approaching.
These days, they had been busy with the wedding preparations. Ariana called the day before the wedding.
Ariana said, "Haley. There’ll be a presentation of the project results at Vanguard Corporation today. Will you attend in person?"
Originally, Ariana didn't want to make this call. After all, the whole city knew about Haley's upcoming wedding.
However, there were too many issues with this project, and she was afraid that something might go wrong if she didn't report the results.
Star Technical Company had finally expanded and couldn't afford to be suppressed for no reason.
Haley nodded and said, "I'm ready to leave now. Let's meet at the entrance of Vanguard Corporation."
Haley had cleared her schedule for today.
If Vanguard Corporation and the Lumi Group wanted trouble, she would solve every problem one by one.
"Do you need me to come with you?" Ivan hugged her waist, his voice soft and low.
Haley smiled and said, "It's just a small thing. You don't need to accompany me. Alright, I'll go first."
But Ivan didn't release his hold on her waist, his voice deep and low. "Give me a farewell kiss."
Haley was helpless.
They had been sharing the same bed for the past few days. Hadn't they kissed enough?
But Ivan looked stubborn. If she didn't kiss him, he wouldn't let her go.
She had no choice but to tiptoe and give him a quick peck on the cheek.
"Daddy, Mommy, you’re not shy to kiss in the living room!" Owen's voice suddenly rang in her ears.
Haley was startled. When she lowered her head, she saw four children standing next to her and Ivan, staring at them with bright eyes.
She blushed and asked, "Weren't you blowing up balloons?"
"Mommy, you are shy!" Owen laughed and said, "Why aren't you shy when you kiss me?"
That question left Haley speechless. She forced a smile and suddenly wanted to cover Owen's mouth.
Todd said lightly, "Owen, didn't you say you wanted to compete with me in blowing up balloons? Let's continue."
Keith nodded and said, "I'll be the referee."
Angela clapped and said, "I'll cheer for you guys!"
Owen's competitive spirit was strong. He immediately forgot what had happened, and the four children continued to blow up balloons.
Haley glared at Ivan sternly and said, "If you dare make me kiss you again, regardless of the situation, I’ll ignore you forever."
Ivan touched his nose, cleared his throat, and said, "Darling, I was wrong. I won't do it again."
The word "Darling" seemed to carry an electric current, striking directly at Haley's heart.
Her heart melted into sweetness.
For the first time, she realized that the feeling of love was truly sweet.
Haley pursed her lips and said, "I'll get to work. See you tonight."
She grabbed her small purse and stepped out in her high heels.
Half an hour later, Haley arrived at her destination.
