Chapter 753
"Thomas, I know where you live!" Ava's voice was filled with intense resentment as she gripped her phone tightly, speaking each word deliberately.
"I'm coming to your house right now. Wait for me," Ava threatened.
Upon hearing this, Thomas's temple throbbed. He took a deep breath. "How do you know?"
"I've been keeping track of your every move. I also know there's a woman and four children with you," Ava's voice turned cold and menacing. "Is Haley with you?"
Thomas pinched the bridge of his nose. "Did you have someone follow me?"
"Not exactly. I just checked your bank card transactions and found out you were in Country H Then I asked around a bit to find out who was with you." Ava laughed lightly. "Ivan is looking for Haley everywhere back home, not knowing that his wife has eloped abroad with you. Tell me, if Ivan knew Haley was staying with you, what kind of challenge would the Ellenstein Group face?"
Before Thomas could respond, she continued, "Open the door right now. I'm here."
Thomas looked up to see a taxi stopping outside the villa, and a flamboyantly dressed Ava standing at the entrance.
His face darkened with frustration. He turned and said in a low voice, "Karl, Pitt, put away all the toys in the living room. Don't let anyone see them."
Understanding the gravity of the situation, the two quickly packed the toys into a box and hid it behind the balcony curtains.
Once the house was tidied up, Thomas walked out slowly to the entrance of the villa.
"Why did it take you so long to open the door?" Ava complained. "I came here specifically to see you. Don't treat me like this."
Thomas's gaze was cold.
He and Ava had once been in a relationship, and he was Ava's first love. He didn't want to hurt her, which was why he had asked Haley to pretend to be his girlfriend.
He wanted to protect Ava's dignity, but Ava had shamelessly clung to him and even used Ivan to threaten him.
Thomas leaned against the iron gate without opening it, and coldly smirked. "Did you come all this way just to sleep with me?"
Ava's face suddenly turned red. She pressed her lips tightly. "I'm not that frivolous."
"Don't you think coming to find me like this, you're being frivolous?" Thomas's tone was full of disdain. "Tell me, what do you really want?"
"I just wanted to see you," Ava said slowly. "Why can't you just look at me?"
Thomas lifted his eyelids slightly. "Now that you've seen me, you can leave."
Ava's face stiffened, and she was furious.
She grabbed the iron gate and said coldly, "Haley is a married woman with so many kids. I really don't understand why you like her! I love you so much. Why can't you be with me? Thomas, I will always love you and treat you very well. Can we give it a try?"
Upon hearing this, Thomas felt nothing but annoyance.
If every ex-girlfriend he had ever dated pestered him like this, he wouldn't get anything done all day.
He clapped his hands, about to have the bodyguards remove Ava, when Karl suddenly came out of the house.
"Where did this pretty lady come from?" Karl said, pressing the switch to open the iron gate. His eyes leered at Ava. "Pretty lady, it's okay if Thomas doesn't like you. I like you. How about you be with me? I will always love you and treat you well. Let's give it a try."
"Get lost!" Ava shouted angrily. "Who do you think you are? How dare you think you can be with me?"
