Chapter 774
"Alright, I'm leaving. Let's not meet again in the future. If there's anything, let's talk online."
Karl slung his backpack over his shoulder and waved casually as he left.
Ivan had not yet regained his memory, prompting Pitt to determine to trail them to Watertown; however, he was compelled to delay his departure by a day.
Thomas stood at the entrance of the villa with his hands in his pockets, trying to appear casual. "I've got some things to handle here, so I won't be able to see you off. Take care on your way back," he said, feigning nonchalance.
"Uncle Thomas, I'll miss you." Angela hooked her arms around his neck and kissed him on the cheek.
Thomas felt a great sense of comfort in his somewhat lonely heart. He gave a soft hum and said, "Didn't you say before that you'd recognize me as your godfather?"
Angela blinked and looked at Haley.
Haley smiled. "Ivan, I want the kids to officially recognize Thomas as their godfather. What do you think?"
"As long as the kids don't object, I have no issues." Ivan said as he strode over, his voice deep and sincere. "Thomas, thank you for taking care of my wife and children during this time. If you ever need anything from me, I will do my utmost to help."
It was the first time Thomas had seen Ivan so serious.
In the past, Ivan consistently adopted a sour expression whenever Thomas encountered him. However, subsequent to Ivan's loss of memory, his demeanor towards Thomas altered, no longer exhibitions the previous cold indifference.
Thomas also responded thoughtfully, "Haley and I have been friends for many years. This is what I should do. You don't need to thank me."
"Once you're done here and head to Watertown, I'll arrange a formal banquet," Ivan said. "When you have your own kids in the future, Haley and I will be their godparents."
"Does that mean I can be a big sister?" Angela blinked her beautiful eyes and asked excitedly.
Thomas remained silent. He didn't even have a girlfriend yet, so why was Angela getting so excited?
Owen blinked and said, "Uncle Thomas doesn't even have a wife yet. It's going to be a long time before he has kids. You might as well hope for a baby in Mommy's tummy."
Thomas felt like he had just taken a massive emotional hit.
Keith's eyes lit up. "Will Daddy and Mommy have another girl?"
Todd nodded. "The more sisters like Angela, the better."
Haley remained silent.
Four kids were already enough; she didn't want to have any more in this lifetime.
After saying goodbye to Thomas, they headed to the airport.
The airport was large, bustling with people, with travelers hurriedly passing by them.
"The helicopter will be here in half an hour. Let's wait in the lounge," Ivan said gently. He and Haley each held two of the children's hands as they walked towards the VIP lounge.
"Mommy, I need to go to the bathroom," Owen said urgently, his face full of anxiety. "Quick, Keith, come with me!"
Keith looked annoyed. "Can't you go by yourself?"
Haley glanced at Ivan. "The airport is crowded with all kinds of people. You take Owen to the bathroom."
Ivan nodded, scooped Owen up, and headed towards the restroom outside.
"Mommy, I think I need to go to the bathroom too," Angela said shyly. "Can you come with me?"
Haley turned to the other two kids and said, "You two come with me."
Given Country Y's occupation of the Hinterlands, the tranquility of this region had been compromised, necessitating a cautious approach from Haley.
She led the three kids to the restroom entrance and ran into Ivan who was coming out with Owen. She handed Keith and Todd over to Ivan and took Angela into the women's restroom.
