Chapter 98 Cooperation
That guy has already left Cuenca, so why is he still sending flowers?
Haley pursed her lips and said, “Fine, I’ll accept them.”
Mr. Bailey relaxed and smiled. "Ms. DeRoss, although Mr. Ellenstein can be a flirt, he truly cares about you. I think you should consider becoming his girlfriend."
"Mr. Bailey, isn't it just a project? Do I have to marry that jerk too?"
Mr. Bailey laughed loudly. "I'm just making a small suggestion. It's up to you whether you listen or not."
Haley supported her chin speechlessly. She was the one who introduced Mr. Bailey to Thomas in the first place, and because of that, Mr. Bailey gained recognition from the top-level executives at the Roscente Group and gradually rose in the workplace.
That's also why Mr. Bailey was willing to collaborate with the DeRoss Group. But if she had known that Thomas was waiting here with flowers, she wouldn't have asked Mr. Bailey for help.
While Haley was engrossed in conversation with Mr. Bailey, a pair of eyes remained fixed on her. Keith sat in the corner by the window, looking at Haley with complicated emotions. For some reason, seeing Haley happily talking with other men made him feel uncomfortable. This was an emotion he had never experienced before.
"Mr. Winston, Mr. Winston?" The woman sitting across from him raised her voice a little and called twice before he snapped out of it. She continued, "Are you sure you want to hire Master Alice for lessons? Master Alice might not have that much time..."
Keith nodded lightly. "One class per week is enough. When can we start?"
"Every Saturday afternoon for two hours," the woman smiled, "Mr. Winston, remember to prepare a children's piano in advance so that it's easier to play."
Keith shook his head. “It’s not for me to learn, but for a woman about your age.”
He remembered his mother learning the piano when she was young, which was why he arranged piano lessons for her. Piano could refine one's temperament. He hoped that after his mother spent all day with the piano, her restless heart would settle down.
He hoped that Owen's mother and his mother would be elegant and graceful women. Instead of constantly scheming.
"Then, Mr. Winston, see you on Saturday." The piano teacher collected her materials and left the restaurant.
Keith sat in his seat, his gaze involuntarily shifting towards Haley once again. His emotions towards this woman were extremely complex. Although she was his aunt, she had a deep feud with his mother. That's why the DeRoss family never formally introduced Haley to him.
He had put in a lot of effort to investigate Haley's information but could only find her life trajectory before the age of eighteen, and her four years of living abroad seemed to have been intentionally erased.
Haley was discussing the project with Mr. Bailey when she suddenly felt a strong gaze on her.
She furrowed her brows and followed the gaze, only to see a little child sitting in the corner by the window.
She just raised her head, and the child immediately turned his head away. She could only make out a profile. This profile looked very familiar, it resembled Todd, but it wasn't Todd. she felt like she had seen it somewhere.
Yes! Haley's eyes widened. It was at the Martinez Group's product launch event; she seemed to have been saved by this child. After being discharged from the hospital, she asked her cousin to investigate the whereabouts of this child but found no information at all.
It was unexpected, they would meet here. After apologizing to Mr. Bailey, Haley took a step forward towards Keith.
