A subtle smile played on Haley's lips.
She advanced a single step, her eyes carrying a hint of frost. "Mrs. Lumi, you've held a venerable reputation in this industry for years, and I, as someone newer to the field, had no intention of causing a spectacle. However, since you persist in accusing me unjustly, I find myself compelled to stand my ground."
