Chapter 812

Haley curved her lips into a smile, "Shall we start now?"

The store clerk pushed over a rack of dresses.

Two custom-made dresses: one was a pink, waist-cinching long gown that looked elegant and ladylike, and the other was a snow-white lace dress that appeared pure and graceful.

Both dresses had one thing in common—they were extremely conservative, covering both arms and legs.

They looked more like dresses for an eighteen-year-old girl.

Haley couldn't help but chuckle.

It seemed that the daughter was always an immature girl in every father's eyes.

Haley took the two dresses into the fitting room.

Looking simple, the dresses were actually very complex, with layer upon layer of skirts, making them both grand and vintage.

It took Haley eight minutes to put on the pink dress. She tied the belt around her waist and was about to step out of the fitting room when she heard people whispering outside, seemingly talking about her.

"Did you see that? She really has two scars on her face."

"Deep scars, probably can't be fixed even with plastic surgery. She looks so ugly."

"She still dares to wear such an expensive dress with ruined face. Itss such a waste of good clothes."

"Alright, stop talking. She's still in there trying on clothes."

The clerks' voices dwindled as Haley smiled brightly and exited.

The female clerks were startled and quickly stood in a line, respectfully saying, "You look great in this dress."

"Is it the dress that looks good or me?" Haley asked with a smirk.

The clerks were adept at flattery; they had just scorned Haley, but now curried favor with herh. "Of course, it's Mrs. Deross who looks good. You're born to be a model who enhances the clothes beautifully."

Haley looked at herself in the mirror, "I was worried that the two scars on my face would make me look particularly bad, but I suddenly feel it's not that bad after seeing your faces."

Haley's casual remark embarrassed the female clerks.

Even with Haley's disfigurement, their ordinary faces couldn't compare to hers.

"Mommy, you look so beautiful!"

"Mommy, this pink dress is so pretty!"

Four children, also dressed in formal attire, came out of the fitting room and circled Haley.

Haley brushed off her earlier displeasure and smiled lightly, "Your dresses look great too, like princes and princesses from a fairy tale."

Cauth nodded with satisfaction, "Haley, this dress is gorgeous. Do you want to try the white one too?"

It's too troublesome to put on another dress.

But Angela tugged at her skirt and said, "Mommy, can you wear the same color as my white dress?"

Haley smiled helplessly, "Alright, I'll go change."

She turned and went back into the fitting room.

The four children outside exchanged glances, their eyes gleaming with mischief.
