Chapter 130 Performance Evaluations

Eva was a 28-year-old master's degree holder who had returned from overseas, with a neat bob haircut that made her look sharp and capable.

Mia Moore let out a disdainful grunt. "You've been a manager in the client department for four or five years, and instead of advancing, you've been demoted. Don't you have any grievances?"

"I follow the instructions of my superiors," Eva replied calmly. "It's an honor for me to be working as Haley's assistant."

After saying this, she walked up to the manager's office and knocked on the door.

“Knock! knock!”.

"Coward!" Mia exclaimed disdainfully, "Even with a master's degree from overseas, you don't even know how to fight for your own rights!"

Just then, Eva pushed open the door to the manager's office, and Haley heard that sentence clearly.

She peeked through the crack of the door and saw Mia Moore, who was dressed unusually compared to others.

Why did this person feel familiar?

She narrowed her eyes and thought for a moment, finally remembering.

Five years ago, at Emily's coming-of-age ceremony, this person seemed to be by Emily's side and even handed her a glass of wine.

This was Emily's friend!

Huh!

Emily actually managed to get her friend into the DeRoss Group!

"Miss DeRoss, I'm Eva, and now I am your assistant," Eva stood in front of the desk, introducing herself with composure.

Haley shifted her gaze and said nonchalantly, "Then be my assistant for now."

Originally, she intended to recommend Eva as the general manager because Eva indeed had the ability, but she was being wasted in the client department.

But now that Emily had left, Eva wouldn't have a chance at the general manager position either. Mr. DeRoss held that position well, firmly in control of all the power.

She would pave the way for Eva when the opportunity arose.

Haley pondered, "What's the name of the female employee who was talking to you just now?"

Eva's fingers tightened slightly, and she explained, "Miss DeRoss, she is Mia Moore. She has a straightforward personality, and she didn't mean to say those things..."

"Bring me all the performance evaluations she has received since joining the company," Haley ordered calmly.

Eva's heart sank.

Being the manager of the client department for four to five years, she knew Mia Moore inside out.

Mia Moore was a person with connections through Emily. She would loaf around the department all day, and yet every time they evaluated performance, Mia always scored the highest.

Eva had long held opinions about this, but what could she do?

The one time she spoke a bit harshly to Mia, Emily scolded her fiercely.

As a result, she gradually learned to keep her wits about her.

As long as Mia didn't affect the department's work, she could turn a blind eye to anything.

She paused for a moment and whispered, "Haley, she's Emily's friend. Emily told me..."

"There is no longer an Emily at this company," Haley said coolly, "Bring me her performance evaluations."

Eva sighed and went to the filing room to retrieve the evaluations.

Leaning back in her chair, Haley's gaze turned cold.

She wouldn't abuse her authority, but she would never tolerate someone who slacked off right in front of her eyes.
