Chapter 821 Date Night

Haley didn't understand why she had a memory loss.

She had forgotten everything that happened in those twenty minutes.

She looked down at Ivan, who was treating the wound on her index finger, and felt deeply guilty, "I'm sorry, Ivan. I didn't mean to forget."

Ivan carefully cleaned the blood scab and applied a band-aid before finally breathing a sigh of relief.

He reached out and gently brushed a few stray strands of Haley's hair from her face, his voice soft and soothing. "Haley, you don't need to apologize. Let's head to the hospital and get this checked out, okay?"

It wasn't normal to lose chunks of time from your memory without any explanation.

If this was just a one-off incident, it might be one thing. But recently, Haley had also forgotten a time when she almost jumped off the balcony.

Most worrying of all, she didn't remember that incident either.

Haley nodded slowly. "Back when I first had the four kids, I had sudden gaps in my memory. But it wasn't this bad. Could it be that Katherine has hypnotized me or something?"

Ivan chuckled softly. "Hypnosis and memory loss don't work like this. Stop overthinking it. We'll find out at the hospital."

Haley looped her arms around his neck, her cool eyes meeting his handsome face. "But if I did lose my memory, if I became a completely different person, would you still love me?"

Ivan held her even tighter. "Don't talk like that. It's not going to happen."

"I'm serious," Haley persisted. "What if I turned into someone with a completely different personality, not just unpleasant but also unattractive? Would you still love me?"

Ivan's answer was clear in his actions.

He kissed her deeply, passionately, and tenderly, his lips brushing against the scar on her face.

The kiss went on for what felt like forever, and as the room grew warmer, their desire for each other became too strong for just one kiss to satisfy.

As night fell and the room darkened, they finally finished their passionate sex.

When Haley and Ivan emerged from the bedroom, dinner was already prepared by the housekeeper.

The four kids sat around the table, their eyes fixed intently on them.

Keith cleared his throat softly. "I told you Mom was just being pretending. Do you believe me now?"

"Mom's been pretending to be angry for an hour," Angela said, fluttering her long lashes. "I want to learn from her."

Owen propped his chubby chin on his hand. "Angela, that's not pretending to be upset. That's you taking advantage of your cuteness."

Whenever Angela played cute, Owen surrendered immediately. He had no resistance to it.

"What are you all talking about?" Haley walked to the table, trying to sound casual. "The dinner looks great. Go call Grandma to come down and eat."

Todd responded obediently, "Alfred already brought Grandma's dinner upstairs."

Haley didn't push the issue since Brenda rarely joined them for dinner.

After the meal, Ivan went to grab the car keys.

Owen immediately latched onto Haley's leg. "Mom, where are you and Dad going so late? I want to go too."

"Date night," Ivan said curtly. "Try to tag along if you dare."

Owen immediately let go of Haley.

He hadn't forgotten how his dad had given him the cold shoulder for days after Owen had kissed his mom.
