Camilla thought, 'As soon as I walked in, i blacked out, and Ivan took advantage of me. If I hadn't come to, he probably would've dragged me to the bed.'
"Mr. Winston, you have some twisted tastes," Camilla sneered. "Coming up with a plan like this for someone like me."
"Miss Jenkins, you're overthinking it," Ivan replied with a smirk. "You're not worth the trip from Watertown. I just found you a bit interesting. But if you agree to be my secretary, maybe I'll consider sparing your family."
Camilla's fingers tightened. She had just slapped Ivan hard, leaving a faint mark on his stern face.
Given Ivan's status, he should've retaliated without mercy. But he didn't.
If he wanted her as his secretary, it probably wasn't just a simple desk job.
Camilla pressed her lips together. "I need to think about it."
"That's fine," Ivan said with a light smile. "I'm leaving Brussville tomorrow night. Make your decision before then, Miss Jenkins."
Camilla forced a smile, turned around, and walked out of the private room without another word.
Ivan touched his lips, where the taste of hers still lingered.
Ivan grinned. "Haley, I'll make you marry me again."
As soon as Camilla stepped out, Patrick and Nicole rushed up to her.
"Camilla, what did Mr. Winston say?" Patrick asked anxiously. "You... Camilla, what happened to you?"
He stared at her smudged makeup, swollen lips, and the faint kiss marks on her neck.
As a man, he could tell what had just happened. No wonder it took her over an hour to come out.
"Camilla," Nicole gasped. "Did you sleep with Mr. Winston?"
Camilla glanced at her and said flatly, "He drugged me with a sleeping pill."
This was the price she paid for the Jenkins family.
She owed them her life, and she would repay it, but she had to make sure they knew what she had sacrificed.
"Are you kidding me?" Nicole said in disbelief. "Someone like Mr. Winston would never drug you with a sleeping pill."
While waiting outside, she had frantically searched for info about Ivan.
The first thing she found was news about Ivan's wedding to a beautiful woman from Watertown. But within a month, a third party had come between them.
News of Ivan's divorce from his wife kept popping up.
Four years ago, Mrs. Haley Winston disappeared from the public eye. Rumors suggested that Ivan and Haley had long been divorced, and she had left the country in anger.
Even though Ivan had four sons, it didn't stop countless women from wanting to marry him.
Ivan was such a handsome man with a wealthy background. Every woman would be tempted.
Nicole's heart was pounding. She was almost in love with Ivan at first sight.
She sneered. "Camilla, just admit it. You actually fell for Mr. Winston, so you did everything you could to seduce him into bed, didn't you?"
"Don't project your thoughts onto me," Camilla said, not bothering to explain. She turned to Patrick. "Father, Mr. Winston said if I agree to one of his requests, he'll spare the Jenkins family."
Patrick's heart leaped with joy, and he quickly asked, "What request?"
