Chapter 433
Haley's car stopped at the entrance of the Winston family mansion.
Four children ran out into the courtyard.
"Mom, you're finally back! I missed you so much!"
Owen's voice was always the loudest and most boisterous. He rushed over and threw himself into Haley's arms. He climbed up on her using all four limbs and planted a noisy kiss on Haley's face.
Angela also became animated following Owen's lead, pulling at Haley's hand and asking for a hug.
Haley had no choice but to carry the two children and walk into the house, followed by the well-behaved Keith and Todd.
Ivan walked over with a frown and coldly said, "How old are you, Owen? Why do you still want to be carried?"
Owen was arrogant since his mother was carrying him. He stuck out his tongue and said, "I just like being carried by Mom. I didn't ask you to carry me."
Ivan's face turned dark and gloomy. "Todd and Angela are the only ones who should be carried."
"Why?" Owen lifted his chin. "I’m Mom's son, too. What's wrong with me wanting a hug from Mom?"
"Todd is younger than you, but he didn’t ask Mom for a hug. Can you really live up to the title of older brother?" Keith coldly remarked.
Ivan spoke calmly, "In that case, let's change the order. From now on, Todd will be the older brother, and Owen will be the younger brother..."
"No!"
Owen immediately became upset.
"I don't want Mom to carry me anymore. I can walk by myself!"
He obediently stood on the ground, looking like a well-behaved child.
Haley laughed and said, "Alright, Owen, your dad and Keith are just joking with you. But you are the older brother, so you need to set a good example for Todd and Angela, okay?"
"Yes, Ma'am!" Owen replied, saluting. "I’ll definitely be a good brother!"
All the servants in the room laughed along with them as well.
Haley glanced at her watch and put Angela down. "It's after four o'clock; I’ll make dinner for you now."
"You don't have to make dinner today, Mommy," Todd said softly. "Daddy just said he’ll do it tonight."
Ivan sighed internally.
If Todd wasn’t his son, he would definitely kick him out.
He had never said he would make dinner himself. Todd was just trying to set him up.
And now he had no choice but to fall into that trap.
Haley looked up at Ivan's dark expression and asked, "Can you cook?"
"Yeah, of course, Dad can even make noodles!" Owen cheerfully interjected. "But there was a little accident. The noodles didn't turn out well, so we had toast for breakfast. Dad made it himself."
Haley's mouth twitched.
Making noodles took work; there was no way Ivan could do it. Had that man intentionally caused that so-called accident?
Toast was easy to make, and Todd could handle it, so of course Ivan could as well.
But since that man wanted to show off his cooking skills in front of the kids, she naturally wouldn't refuse.
Haley smiled and said, "I guess I won’t cook and just take it easy today. Thank you for your hard work, dear."
Ivan smiled. "It's just one meal, it’s not a big deal."
As he spoke, his gaze lightly swept over to Todd.
Todd met Ivan's indifferent gaze with innocent eyes and said meekly, "I want some fish, Dad."
Ivan nodded. "Okay, I'll make you a fish."
When Owen saw that, he quickly put in his order, "Dad, I want..."
