"Let's go upstairs," Mrs. Winston said, holding Angela and leading Owen, greeting the four children to go upstairs.
"You have plenty of opportunities to make it up to the kids in the future, not today," Ivan whispered to Haley's ear, "Tonight is our wedding night, time is precious."
Haley blushed instantly.
‘That’s so cheesy, people are watching,’ she thought.
Alfred observed their interaction, seemingly flirtatious, and with a sly smile, he said, "Madam, why don't you go upstairs and see if there's anything else to prepare in the bedroom."
The word "Madam" made Haley's heart skip a beat.
She suddenly realized that she was truly married to Ivan, she had become a part of the Winston family.
"Let's go upstairs and take a look."
Ivan hugged her waist and led her upstairs.
Pushing open the door to the master bedroom, they saw a festive mix of white, cute pink, and comfortable blue. The sheets and blankets were pink, so was the carpet. The curtains were blue, all the plush toys were pink, and even the wardrobe doors had blessings posted on them...
It was a bridal chamber.
Haley opened her mouth but couldn't say a word.
Alfred chuckled, "Mrs. Winston said that since you are officially married today, you should also start sleeping here from today. I'll leave you now, just call out if you need anything, I'm always around."
He turned and walked out of the master bedroom, considerately closing the door behind him.
"This is too much," Haley said with difficulty, feeling her throat dry and her body warm, so she hurried to find some water to drink.
Ivan watched her flustered figure with a smile, his voice hoarse, "Haley, I know that the night five years ago was a nightmare to you, but the present me is different from the me five years ago. I won't force you to do anything you don't want to."
"Are you sure?" Haley turned to look at him, her eyes clear and bright.
Ivan was speechless. He just wanted to express his intentions, but why did it feel like he dug himself into a hole?
With the room decorated like this, it would be strange if he could control himself.
"You said it!" Haley chuckled lightly, "A real man keeps his word. Since you said you won't force me, don’t do it."
Ivan's face darkened with frustration.
