Chapter 703
Haley froze.
Her eyes darted to Isabel's face.
'So Isabel is Leonardo's fiancée. No wonder she was so hostile yesterday,' Haley thought.
If she turned and left now, it might make Isabel even more suspicious. Haley smiled, raised her hand, and motioned for Louis, who was blocking her way, to step aside. "I know Miss Spencer, too. Please move."
Louis felt a strong force push him away. As he wondered about Haley's unexpected strength, she was already heading toward Leonardo and Isabel.
A wave of unease washed over Isabel. Even though Haley had said she had a husband, that didn't mean she couldn't mess around with other men. And the coffee Haley had brought yesterday, which Isabel had falsely claimed her father had sourced.
She thought, ‘If Haley exposes the lie I made, how could I face Leonardo?’
Thinking of this, Isabel quickly stepped forward. "Who are you, and what do you want?"
Haley smiled. "Miss Spencer, don't you remember me? We met just yesterday."
Isabel feared she would bring up the coffee. Leonardo had been very pleased with the Puer coffee yesterday and had relaxed his attitude towards her for the first time. She couldn't let Haley ruin it.
Isabel said coldly, "This is a high-end venue. How did you get in?"
Before Isabel could finish, Leonardo raised his hand to stop her. He stepped forward, looking at Haley. "The woman from the restaurant the day before yesterday, was that you?"
Haley smiled. "Yes, Mr. Windsor, that was me."
Their conversation made Isabel visibly uneasy. Although she had appeared in front of Leonardo at least six times yesterday, he had still asked who she was.
But today, a random woman showed up, and Leonardo remembered exactly where they first met.
Isabel said coldly, "Leonardo has something very important today. Can you not disturb us?"
Haley smiled. "Can I talk to Mr. Windsor alone after the banquet? I want to discuss a collaboration."
Isabel, gripping her nails tightly, whispered, "Leonardo, after the banquet, my father has arranged dinner to discuss the future of the Black Gang with you."
"I do have something else afterward," Leonardo said calmly. "So let's talk now."
Isabel's smile froze.
She wanted to say more, but Leonardo had already turned and entered the nearest meeting room.
Haley followed, with Thomas close behind.
At the entrance of the meeting room, Leonardo paused and turned back, his voice calm. "If there's a third person present, this collaboration is off."
His gaze swept over Thomas.
Haley understood. She turned and said softly, "Thomas, wait for me outside."
Thomas clenched his teeth and said after a moment, "If anything happens, just call out, and I'll come right in."
