Chapter 979
Samantha lowered her voice. "How about Camilla marrying you?"
"Aunt, are you kidding me?" Micah was startled. "Camilla is practically my sister in name. Marrying her would be too bizarre! Besides, you know I've always had someone I liked. Without my parents' interference, I would have been married by now."
"I was just joking with you."
Samantha patted his shoulder and turned to walk back to the living room.
Between Micah and Brady, Micah was naturally more outstanding, but he had someone he liked. So, it had to be Brady.
Looking at Camilla's perfect figure standing in the banquet hall, a struggle appeared in Samantha's eyes again.
She thought in her heart, 'Camilla, don't blame me. I'm just trying to protect the Jenkins Family.'
If Camilla never remembered her past, then she and the Jenkins Family would protect Camilla for life.
As long as she gave birth to a Jenkins Family descendant, she wouldn't harm the Jenkins Family.
"Mother, what do you want to say to me?" Camilla walked over and asked.
"Your grandmother isn't feeling well. You know how to massage, right?" Samantha said with a smile. "She really liked the teapot. If you massage her, you won't have to worry about her giving you a hard time in the future."
Camilla smiled helplessly.
Camilla knew this was Samantha's good intention, so she didn't say anything more. She lifted her dress and walked to the back lounge.
The lounge door was closed. She knocked, and a man's voice came from inside. "Come in."
Camilla pushed the door open in confusion and saw Micah's brother Brady lounging on the sofa. Brady was obviously taken aback with her coming. "Why is it you?"
Camilla stood at the door. "Isn't Grandma here?"
"I'm waiting for her as well. Come in and wait with me," Brady said. "By the way, please close the door. They just sprayed pesticides on the plants outside, and there's a strange smell."
Camilla didn't think much and came in.
Brady was twenty-four, the most rebellious age for a man. He wore a blue suit with a red bow tie, looking very much like a rich kid.
Brady stroked his chin, looking at Camilla in front of him.
They had met a few times during holiday celebrations. Every time he saw Camilla, he thought she was beautiful.
He had had many girlfriends, but none could surpass Camilla in appearance.
As Brady kept looking, he leaned his head closer. "How old are you this year?"
Camilla said flatly, "Twenty-seven, I think. Not exactly sure."
This age was estimated by the doctor, but she felt she was close to thirty.
Brady said with a grin. "I heard from Micah that you started your own company, a really impressive one. Camilla, you should teach me sometime, so my parents stop scolding me."
Camilla said calmly, "If you're interested, you can come to my company as an intern."
"Or I could be your assistant. I can do anything!" Brady recommended himself. "And I'm really good at drinking. When you negotiate business, I can drink with those people!"
Camilla thought he was quite talkative. She pushed the two glasses of wine in front of her. "Then drink these and show me."
