Chapter 613
An hour later, a group of six got out of the car at the entrance of the amusement park.
"Daddy, I want you to hold me!" Angela raised her two arms and hung on Martin's neck.
Her soft body leaned against Martin's chest, injecting a hint of warmth into his desolate heart.
Although Angela was not Martin's biological daughter, they still had kinship, so to some extent, she was his blood relation.
Uncle's love for his niece was something he could accept.
Martin walked in the front while holding Angela.
Haley followed behind them, her cold eyes flashing with inexplicable emotions.
Before leaving, she had a chat with Alfred and could roughly infer that the biggest trauma in Ivan's life over the past twenty years should be his father's death.
She didn't know how Ivan's father died, but she believed behaving like a father might help Ivan regain his true self.
"Owen, why aren't you with Daddy?" Haley smiled and said, "Your dad may look strict on the outside, but he actually loves you all very much."
Owen crossed his arms and said angrily, "Daddy just likes Angela. He didn't even look at me today. I’m mad at that."
Keith glanced at him and said, "You're not as cute as Angela, nor as pretty as Angela. Why would Dad look at you?"
Owen fell silent.
Keith's words were too harsh.
Haley chuckled. "Dad took Angela to ride the carousel. Do you guys want to go too?"
"Yes, of course!"
Owen quickly ran over.
Keith and Todd exchanged a glance and followed suit.
They knew very well that Haley had arranged this trip to the amusement park today, both to accompany them and to include Ivan.
Whatever Haley wanted to do; they were willing to cooperate.
Two adults and four children all got on the carousel. Angela lay in Martin's arms, Haley held Owen, and Keith and Todd each chose a horse.
The music started playing, and the carousel slowly began to turn.
For some reason, Haley's memory suddenly went back to her childhood.
Haley should actually thank Carl and Flora for being willing to deceive her for eighteen years. At least, during those innocent eighteen years, she was happy.
Because she didn't suffer any psychological trauma, even when Haley thought she had lost two children, she was able to quickly overcome the sadness.
As for Ivan, when he lost his father at the age of fifteen, he was left with a huge psychological trauma and even developed dissociative identity disorder.
Hopefully, the children could be his healing balm.
As a nursery rhyme ended, they got off the carousel.
This was the first time Martin had been to an amusement park in all his years.
He had envied others when he was young, but being an orphan, he didn't have the privilege to visit such expensive places.
This trip today somewhat made up for the regrets of his childhood.
Martin was in a good mood and said with a smile, "Angela, there's a cotton candy stand over there. Do you want to eat?"
Angela nodded vigorously. "Yes, I want a pink one."
Martin nodded and was about to stride over.
