Chapter 813
Seeing the door close, Owen pulled Angela over to the dress section.
He said with a severe tone, "Angela, I don't think this white tulle dress fits you. How about we change it?"
A nearby store clerk quickly approached and respectfully said, "Miss, which one do you like? I'll bring it over right away."
Angela glanced in the direction of one of the clerks and pointed her cute little finger, saying, "I want this pretty lady to help me get the dress."
The clerk, Lisa Diaz, was somewhat flattered.
Even if Haley divorced Ivan, the four children remained descendants of the Winston family, unaltering their status within it.
It was a great honor for Lisa to be asked to serve Angela.
Instead of being humiliated by Haley, being praised by Angela was the key point.
Lisa thought that children's opinions were indeed the most genuine.
Lisa walked over respectfully, "Which dress would you like?"
Owen pointed to the pink dress at the far end and said with a smile, "I think this one suits Angela. Let's take a look at it first."
Lisa quickly turned to get the dress.
With a row of the latest limited edition dresses, Lisa handled them very carefully, afraid of creasing the dress a little bit.
However, just as Lisa turned around, a foot silently stretched out.
She was deeply engrossed in the dress, failing to notice the floor and stumbling.
The dress hooked to the iron rack on the side, tearing a hole.
Lisa was stunned with fear, staring blankly at the tear, completely petrified.
The other clerks nearby were too scared to help, fearing they might get implicated.
"The dress is torn," Angela's soft voice came, "Miss, you'll have to pay for it."
Hearing about compensation snapped Lisa back to reality.
She remembered clearly that something had tripped her; otherwise, how could she have fallen on flat ground?
Lisa turned her head and saw Owen looking at her smugly!
"It was you!"
Lisa angrily got up from the floor.
However, the lace on the dress was still caught on the iron rack, and she suddenly stood up.
The entire iron rack came crashing down with her.
A row of dresses fell, shattering a vase on the iron rack, and its shards scattered among the dresses. These high-end clothes would be unsellable if they got even a bit of debris on them.
"Wow, amazing. You ruined dozens of dresses. That'll cost a lot of money," Owen said with a hint of schadenfreude.
Lisa was shocked and then furious. "You tripped me on purpose. It should be you to pay for it!"
"You're mistaken," Keith said calmly, "The dress was in your hands, and you were the one who fell. You should bear the consequences because your fault. It's just lucky my brother was here. If it had been a dog, would you make the dog pay?"
