Chapter 393

Outside the hospital room, in the corridor.

Angela was riding a wooden horse, surrounded by three boys.

Owen was in front of her, grinning from ear to ear. "Hey, Angela, call me brother!"

Angela tilted her head, her voice sweet as she replied, "Owen."

"No, no, that's not right. You should call me 'brother Owen,'" Owen corrected. "I'm your brother Owen. Say it, please."

Angela obediently said, "Owen."

Keith then approached. "I'm Keith. Can you call me Keith?"

Angela, ever so compliant, did as she was asked, "Keith."

Todd was quite distressed. Now, with Haley and Angela being separated from him, he was overwhelmed with sadness.

"This one is Todd," Owen said, pointing to Todd.

Todd's face darkened immediately.

"Ivan said I'm older than you!" Owen boasted, swinging his head proudly. This feeling was marvelous!

Todd let out a mocking laugh. "You, with that brain, think you can be my brother?"

Owen puffed out his chest defiantly. "What's wrong with my intelligence? I'm smart too!"

The two children stood, glaring at each other, nearly on the verge of a fight.

Keith felt a headache coming on. He had always thought of Todd as mature and composed. How could he be so childish today, quarreling with Owen? Owen was acting like a fool, and arguing with him seemed to lower anyone's I.Q.
Keith pulled his two younger brothers apart. Angela, who had been gleefully riding a carousel horse, suddenly shivered, tumbled off the horse, and hid behind her three brothers. Her grape-like, watery eyes watched warily toward the other end of the corridor. All three children looked up simultaneously.

At the end of the hallway, a man in a black suit strode toward them, a silver mask covering his face. The mask shone with a cold light, making it look particularly eerie and terrifying. Not just Angela but even Owen felt a bit scared, yet he bravely stood in front of Angela, guarding her closely.

Keith and Todd, a bit more courageous, calmly fixed their gaze on the figure that was approaching them. As the man got closer, his face was concealed behind the mask, with only a pair of penetrating dark eyes visible.

Todd felt strangely familiar with the masked face...

"Shura," Keith said slowly, pronouncing an English word.

At that moment, the man in the mask brushed past them and walked to the other end of the hallway, leaving only his retreating figure...

Todd quickly turned his head, "How did you know it was Shura?"

Keith replied softly, "On the left side of his mask, there was an English word etched into it. Shura."

Shura. Dante.

Todd suddenly understood why the face seemed familiar. The man wearing the mask was using the same avatar Dante used on dark web forums...

Yesterday, someone named K told him Dante had arrived in Cuenca. Today, he was encountering Dante in person.
